Aside from the issue with the rude valet, I tend to think that most of the misunderstanding on how to use that front area is coming from people who are accustomed to using valet, but for one reason or another choose not to anymore. Years of driving up, hopping out of the vehicle and having the car out of sight out & of mind are now over and the change to dropping off the bags with bell services, parking the car, and then entering the building to check in feels wrong to them.
Personally, my vehicle costs a heck of a lot more than my
Disney vacations. I don't pass off my car to just anyone, nor will I park it where it may need to be moved. I don't understand why anyone would want to park out in such an unstable area.
If you don't think it's wrong to park at the entrance, then consider this: it's a fire hazard to leave your car there unattended.
