In all our years of booking resort stays, I've never had a CM ask if I'd like their extension to book direct with them in the future. I typically have to call because we use the military discount. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, so I said sure. I asked if this was new and he said they had started pre-pandemic, but stopped it.

I'd never experienced it and just wondered if this was the new norm.

I've had it happen in the past and while I thought it was great, often found the CM wasn't working at the time I was trying to book so ended up going with a different CM anyway. But, it's good to try if you get a great CM!

That is new to me. I booked room only , military discount, 6 months ago and was not told that. Interesting

I had that happen also. Sure did make me feel important to have my own CM. It was difficult to reach them when I tried to book again.

yep, mine is 'Winter' but of course she isnt in 24/7; have to catch her when in or leave a message for a call back; have used her a couple of times but usually book myself sine i follow so closely i hear about discounts including AP rates immediately, and then fill out a transfer form and transfer the ressie to a friend who is a TA so she can get the commish;

Interesting note about the CM's who work in the reservation center. All of them get to choose a name from an approved list to use when answering the phone. It is so there are no 2 people with the same name, so if a person calls and says they "spoke to Jane", there is only one Jane and they know who it is. Sometimes, if their real name is not being used, they can choose it. This could be how all call centers operate, however I can't speak to that!
