Is this justifiable homicide?

My husband has a Blackberry and gets hundreds (not an exaggeration) of emails a day. Each and every one that comes through has some type of tone set that goes through. They come through in groups, so it isn't unusual to hear 20-30 tones at a time. This goes on day and night. Now he doesn't have a time critical position so it isn't like it can't wait or he can't take off the tone. Drives me crazy. Once I get woken up, I can't get back to sleep. So would it be ok to take that dumb Blackberry and ram it down his throat. JK--kinda. ;)

maybe accidentally drop it from a 10 story building .... that would really drive me crazy too I empathise with you.

They don't call them crackberries for nothing!
No, in my opinion it would not be justifiable homicide. Of course that would give my family the right to do the same with my bberry. I tell my co-workers that the firm already has my DD working for them. The minute it buzzes she brings it right to me - no matter where I am!! If my co-workers only knew how many times they've received e-mails from me while I'm sitting on the toilet they would die. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Oh, that probably fell under the TMI heading. Sorry! :rolleyes1

Sounds justifiable to me. But you know, your real friends won't just bail you out, they'll help you hide the body ;)

but you can DIS from a blackberry

I use one for work and I fell your pain.

So here's what you do when he is not around pick up his blackberryfrom the Main screen go to(turn wheel) OPTIONS (it looks like a wrench) click the wheel in.

scroll down to AUTO ON/OFF click in wheel again.

Enable both for weekends and weekdays select times (that you want peace and quite) select save and just put it back .It will take him a while to figure why it's turning on and off by its self.

Why can't he just set it on vibrate. I leave my cell on vibrate all the time, and can hear it vibrate when I get a call--but it's not loud or annoying and I'd probably sleep through it unless I was expecting a call.

thank you. Now to pry it out of his sweaty little hands........LOL.

I wouldn't mess with someone's controls on their bberry. If he is expected to work from it, and doesn't, there could be consequences at work. :sad2:
However........if you are serious about getting rid of it I have a sure fire way. Bberries do not like water AT ALL! Have you tried dropping it into the toilet (a clean one)? :rolleyes1 Trust me, they don't fare well. I'm sure the company will replace but in the mean time you have about a week's worth of peace and quiet. :rotfl2:

Ok you guys are cracking me up. At least I can laugh, even after nights of no sleep. So who is coming to help hide the body?

I do ask him about the vibrate feature. A few times he has turned that feature on and then left it on the table beside where i sleep. OK!!!! That was a big help....NOT.

Not like he is a doctor or emergency worker that will have to jump up, put on his superhero suit, and save the world all in the blink of an eye. :lmao:

This isn't really work. He is on the communications committee for his union. He doesn't get paid for all the many hours he puts in. Basically any message that gets posted to the web board gets sent to his email. :rolleyes2

Not to mention the tons of family hours he spends doing this instead of spending time with us and the money that he spends going and doing. So if the blackberry went missing he wouldn't suffer at work but then I would have to find th money to replace it as I do all budgeting. Actually his last one broke and he just bought a new one this month, so I won't be damaging it. I don't have the money to replace it and he will definitely go out and get another one.

Please don't ! I can think of a much better way. How about putting that blackberry to rest in piece either dropping it in the toilet litterally flushing your problems away or burying that sucker in the yard. I'd do it in a New York minute and I am not j/k. :teeth:
