Try and follow me here (disclaimer - 1) this may be very confusing and 2) I am NO math whiz - I'll try my best to be concise and clear....)

I called CRO yesterday and got the 40% off room only package.

Today I called to see if the code I got could be applied to a package that included dining. The answer was "no", but the CM found another code to apply and here is what I got:
9 nights GV Poly (2 adults, 1 child) with
(2) 1-day adult base tix and (1) 1-day child ticket (total of $202.36)
+ DINING for 2 adults and 1 child
= $3268.93

I just went to the Disney website and here's what I priced out:
9 nights GV Poly + 1-day base tix for all + Dining = $4337.80
And...
9 nights GV Poly + 1-day base tix for all (no dining) = $3537.07

Does this look like "free dining" to anyone else????? I am pretty new to all of this, but this sure looks like free dining to me. Am I way off base???

And also - I do not know if this was a pin code - I don't think so. I have the code for this and can share - but don't want to break any DIS rules. I do not think this was a private code as I called and just asked about pricing out my dates with the dining package - with any avail. discount codes.
Moderators - can I share???????????

I hope this wasn't too confusing. And I hope this is a code that others can use!!!!

In your case the 40% off of room rates is a greater savings than your dining costs. At a rate of $329, 40% off equals a savings of $131 per night. Your dining costs are only $90 per night for 2 adults and 1 child. So even if free dining were to be offered again, this is a much better deal for you!!!

Your deal is actually making me think about calling back and checking out what the Poly would be for our trip :scratchin

Yes, the room only is a 40% savings - and the package deal is about 30% (I think a little over if my math is correct). But here's how I'm looking at it -
With the package, for ~$1026 more, $114/day, we'll get the dining plan (on top of the 40% discounted room rate). We like to do TS meals, and even if we didn't do one every day, I'm not sure that between all of our meals and snacks we could average much less than 130 or so/day. For $114/day more we are getting all of the meals, snacks, tips, etc. That's when the package deal seems to make sense...

????????

I think I'm over-thinking all of this...

Well shoot! I just called and asked for a room only rate with any available discount for Oct 24 - 29 for POFQ and I got $165, which is the rack rate. That stinks! But, I'm glad that you were able to get the discount!

I just called and asked for both a package and room only and got nothing. To top it off, we want to stay at the Poly in late Sept. So it likely must be a PIN code.
