Is this even worth it?

We just went to WDW in Late May and now we are going back Thanksgiving week.. Part of my family was planning on going Thanksgiving week but not us until now. Should I go through the normal attempts to get a PIN Code like Planning a trip asking for a DVD saying your staying off property or is a PIN during the Thanksgiving Week unheard of?

Considering the high attendance level that week I would assume that WDW does not need to send out PIN codes to get more people into the parks.

It is very unlikely that offers will be made for that week since it is one of the most popular. Too bad you didn't know while you were there in May, could have booked using the bounce back offer. It is usually a % off or FD depending on he time booked.

Have you considered renting a condo or home outside of Disney. It's a lot less expensive. I hear you that you want to be in the magic bubble, but jut a thought if you wanted to save $$.

I received a pin code good for free dinning on arrivals between 8/25–10/3, 10/19–11/1, 11/9–11/22 and 12/12–12/23/14. The only issue is you have to book before 9/12/2014 so my guess is they already shared this pin code with everyone they were planning on. The room only pin code is only valid 10/4–11/25 and 11/29–12/23/14. I would go ahead and book things and if you happen to get a pin code you can change your reservation.
