Is this correct?

To simplify, if I want to plan a trip (one resort, not a split stay) that requires points from both memberships the easiest thing to do is call MS once I’m in my booking window. They can do a one time per year transfer of points to accommodate? Same use year
Another way to do it without transfer is make two reservations in sequence, same resort, same room class. Then email MS and have them flag it as a continuous stay. When you check in then tell the front desk you wish to keep your room. They will want to accommodate that because it saves them a full room cleaning.
A little hassle, but a point transfer is a little hassle also. If you avoid transfer it also allows you to borrow in both contracts when you make reservations as well.

I appreciate everyone’s input here, greatly.

I find it all overly confusing for a multitude of reasons.

Yes, as long as the points you want transferred are not banked or borrowed points.

That is the part that can be tricky…if you end up with banked points in both memberships, you will have to book the trip as two different trips and have MS link to note it is a continuation and booked across two memberships.
