Is this allowed through security?

This is a little GoPro-like action cam, and this is a handle I like to use for it. Is it something they would not let through security? I would hate to throw it away, and hate to have to take it all the way back to my room by the Toy Story lot... It doesn't extend in any way, just screws onto the camera's waterproof case.

Depends. How big is the stroller you will be using to carry it?

I'm almost certain you will be fine. As long as it's not a selfie stick or it doesn't have the capability to extend out they allow them through. I've seen people with mini tripods in the park.

I brought my gimbal in to the park. I was told that as long as it doesn't extend, it's fine.

Yes you can bring that in. We brought the same one (or similar) into the parks a couple of weeks ago. They may just ask you at security if it extends.

As long as it doesn't extend and isn't considered "professional equipment" it will be allowed.

Yes those short “GoPro” handles are allowed... I had no trouble going through security with my floating handle last summer. They didn’t even look twice.

yes we took one in January. Took our go pro with floating handle no one ever said a thing.

Thanks everyone! We will bring it then; I think it will capture some fun stuff without risking me dropping my iphone or video camera. And haha to the stroller comment @alvernon90 ! We're trying to decide between two umbrellas and a double umbrella, so I think we'll be good ;-)

For us, separate umbrellas worked better -- much easier to maneuver in DL (such narrow doorways and crowded paths!) and easier for separate restroom trips (are your stroller kids same or different restrooms? We had "you take that one, I'll take this one.") Also, we could split up for saving tables while the big people and non-stroller set ordered and brought trays.

@Jaina I’m gonna echo this. I brought my favorite umbrella last trip and had to use it and found it way too big (a double umbrella). Thankfully for me the crowds weren’t too thick & I’m tall so my umbrella was safely above everybody else but I wouldn’t bring one that big again. With so many people in such a small area you’re better off with 2 smaller umbrellas & good rain jackets.

I *think* they're actually talking about umbrella strollers. I might be wrong but that's how I read it.
(I do totally agree about smaller umbrellas though - much easier to use in a crowd than a giant one)

Haha, yes definitely strollers! I probably won’t bring a regular umbrella, since the forecast looks dry and since we have ponchos for the water rides. Being from AZ, we only own a few random umbrellas, and they don’t get much use. ️Is a double umbrella really a thing?? That’s crazy!
