Hi all,
Were currently booked for 3 nights at the CR in early june (short trip i know :( but we booked it because were headed to Boca Raton afterwards). Anywho, were considering an extra night at the beginning of the trip wnd taking a later flight (meaning wed get in around 8, get to the CR at 9ish). I love the MK and the only night it has EMH is the night were considering adding... is it a waste of money to go into the park after our flight for the EMH?? I love being there with minimal crowds till midnight but 3 hours seems short?

I guess, if I were in your shoes, I would just worry most about how tired I would be and if that would impact my experience. But, when we go, we do usually hit it hard (early mornings, late nights) and are sort just tired throughout the whole trip because we want to see as much as possible. My vote is to go for it, because then you'll be able to wake up in your hotel the next morning and just get rolling to the parks from there (bc if I understand you correctly, you're adding an extra night on to arrive in the PM, rather than the AM the next day, right?).

If you only have 3 days...go for it. You can recoop on the beach later. :)

Do it. We always try to make day one an EMH day.

Y'all are both so right!! I think im gonna go for it! Thank you!

I think the park will be packed, not sure that it's worth the money for that short time span. I'd also not count on your flight being on time, so that could further cut into your plans. Any chance you could snag a flight that arrives a few hours earlier?

I would plan it but wait until your arrive to upgrade your tickets for an extra day in case you have a flight delay or decided your too tired. We always hit the park on arrival day but I usually arrive by 4 pm.

Thought in September I got in at 5 and by the time we got to the hotel and got settled it was 6ish and we headed to Epcot which closed at 9. We actually got a lot done. It was September but we got to hit all the headlines in those 3 hours.

Very true on unexpected flight delays. Cant get an earlier flight because we are trying to avoid rush hour getting to our airport and have to give our dogs to my sister to watch and this is the only time possible.

I find it normally takes us 2 hours from the time our flight lands until we're at our resort. Since we're Canadian we have to check in so you would save time there as you could skip check in. If you're feeling up to it - go for it!! :)

I don't want to be a "Debbie downer", but I'm not sure on this one. Chances are, you will be able to check into your hotel as soon as you get there. That will consume time. You might not be at the park until close to 10. Anything can happen, like flight/luggage delays.

I'm not sure of your ticket situation, but if you are going from a 3 day ticket to a 4 day ticket to get this done, you will be paying a lot for those 2-3 hours. If you are an AP holder, absolutely do it.

I would consider a late ADR at any of the Monorail restaurants. Even if it's for dessert and drinks, California Grill would be awesome (combined with seeing Wishes).

We also haven't gotten the update hours for MK. Last year every night staring in June it was open until 11 or 12 with normal hours. So if Emh is already planned... If they push back the hours you are might not get closing until 1 or 2am.

I'm going in June too and I'm waiting, hoping for longer MK hours

We always liked going to Downtown Disney on arrival day. It makes a grt Disney experience without a park pass.
