Is this a good teacher gift?

I found some thick Holiday themed kitchen towels on clearance last year at a department store. I made some "out of this world" Ghiradelli fudge and put it in glad containers. Then I wrapped each container in a towel with a lot of pretty ribbon and a gift card.

I know I'd like that gift, but I'm not sure they will.

My mom made fudge every year for us to give our teachers for Christmas! Luckily, she made some for us, too!!! LOL!!!!!

I usually give them 4 movie tickets or a GC to a local Grocery store, but this year I'm kind of broke....I hope last years teacher doesn't talk to this years teacher..... :(

Homemade fudge is a winner no matter how you look at it. :D

Don't worry about it, Lucky4me!

I think if it's something you'd like to get....then odds are the person receiving it will like it as well! :)

And yes.....that's def. a gift I'd like! :)

This teacher would love to get that for a gift! :bounce:

No it's a horrible gift....tell ya what....I'll do you a big favor and save you making such a big mistake and take them off your hands...free even but only if the fudge is included! :teeth:

just kidding....it sounds like a thoughtful gift from a thoughtful person....

I would like to receive this gift! Please know that whatever is given is much appreciated. To know that someone took the time to think of us teachers no matter what the gift is well and warmly received.

I agree!

I dunno, Lucky.....I think you should send us all some so we can accurately judge.

who got plenty of gifts (she taught 27 years), I think that would be SWELL. She got lots of stuff, mostly I remember "Evening in Paris" Eau de Toilette. If she ever got fudge, she hid it from me and my 3 sisters.

Yummy, yummy, yummy.

Besides, if the teacher doesn't like it, he or she would be polite enough to say thank you and then share it with the other teachers in the lounge, don't you think?

Can you please share the recipe!?!?!?
My DD first grade teacher loves fudge according to my DD and we plan to make some Thr night to give him! I just have the recipe from the back of the Fluff container!

Thanks! I feel better about them. I'll be giving one to her speech teacher and her bus driver too.

Ghiradellis Dangerous Fudge

(I call it that because it's so easy to make, so incredibly good, and I feel my waist expanding just by looking at it... ;))

3 bags (11.5 each) of Ghiradelli MILK chocolate chips

2 cans of SWEETENED condensed milk

1&1/2 tsps of vanilla

1 tsp salt

1 &1/2 cup optional walnuts

Melt chips and milk together in large sauce pan on low heat
stir until blended. add in vanilla, salt, and walnuts. Mix it up good.

Pour onto large nonstick cookie sheet (I spray a teeny bit of Pam on it too)
let set for a couple of hours
cut into squares with a pizza cutter
Store in a tightly closed container

That's it!
