THis will be our first trip to Disney. I read about the expedia rates for values during late july to August and decided to call a travel agent and see what kind of price that she could give me. I just feel safer going thru a travel agent. She quoted me a price of 2511.67 for 6 nights/7 days at Pop Century preferred room for 4 people.(2 Adults and 11 yr old and 6 yr old) We have park hoppers and waterpark and more tickets for 6 days plus Disney dining. I went ahead and booked it for July 29-Aug 1. Did I get a good deal?

Sounds like a good price. Are you staying for 6 nights (your dates were July 29-Aug 1  ). How many days are your tickets for?

That (2511) is the price anyone can get right now through disney website witht he current codes. The code isn't a particularly great savings off rates for values - it is advertised as a $13 savings (preferred room in valu season is 94 and with code is 81). Which is true for those staing 8/5 and later. However I'm sure for simplicity they included 7/29-8/4 in the special rates even though value and moderate hotels are still in summer season. They price those at the same rate for the entire time the code is good for even thogh they are still in summer creating a much greater savings (a summer season preferred room at pop runs 121, so the code then gives you a $40 savings at $81).
