Is this a good price for hotel/minivan in June??

So please help me.... on southwestvacations.com I found a flight/car vacation package with tax for 1294.00. This is for 2 adults 3 kids and a minivan from Alamo from 6/2 thru 6/16. Our flight is non stop from MDW (chicago) flying into Tampa. Is this a good deal or should I wait it out for cheaper plane tickets?? We figure it's 200 per person for plane and 300 for a minivan for 2 weeks... Thanks so much!!

I'm flying ORD to MCO (non-stop) on American Apr21-28 and my fare was $205 each. I rented a mini van from Dollar for $205. Your price seems good to me, but I've never priced out Midway or Tampa. Plug your dates into kayak.com and see what other rates are going for. I think $300 for 2 weeks of minivan is a great deal though.

from the southwest website, flights non-stop from midway to orlando 6-2 thru 6-16. per person 137.30 roundtrip. total for 5 people. $686.50. then you can look for your minivan after that. that leaves you with $607.50 for a car budget. i just found a minivan from national using the southwest website for your dates for $580 including taxes. not using any code or coupon savings, so i'm sure that rate can be lowered. then your car and flight won't be tied together which i think is better in case changes have to be made.

this would fly you into mco unless you wanted to fly into tampa. i didn't look up those prices.
