Is this a good price for flights???

I found Expedia to do Disneyland tickets at reasonale prices. They used to offer early hours for a specific number of days also! We used them a couple of years ago now but they were the cheapest then.

Defs Undercover Tourist for WDW tickets.

Happy planning everyone. We are off to Orlando in 117 days :cheer2:

Oh you are a GEM - thankyou so much, you have totally made my day!! I was far to busy being angry at myself to think of doing something intelligent like looking for a cooling off period :) Right - back to being excited:yay:

Yes you guys are my new Travel Agents for sure haha. Just from the fare & travel insurance tips I have saved $800 - wow, can't wait to see how much after the Park Hoppers, Hotels etc. Once again thankyou everyone.

More shopping money to share round! :thumbsup2

And in case you don't know what to do with the spare cash, I'm pretty partial to Pepperidge Farms Peppermint Milano biscuits and I wear size 8 shoes. Just thought it was worth throwing it out there. :rolleyes1

We paid $9930 for ADL -> MCO -> HNL -> ADL with Qantas for 2a2c. Yours sounds like a much better deal! :-) We also booked our tickets through Undercover Tourist - haven't got them yet though!

I would even suggest not getting a travel agent at all and just using all of us for your travel needs:cool1:

I was a travel agent many years ago, so I know how they work.

I have always booked everything online myself, and have felt a lot more in control of my bookings. No need to worry if the agent has booked the wrong dates, wrong room type etc. there's also so many more hotels out there that travel agents don't/can't offer.

And those Disneyland tickets look like a great price. It's certainly not too early to buy them now.

I agree completely, I book nearly everything myself, however I also have an excellent TA, whom I book certain things through. Mainly tours and cruises as she can sometimes get a good discount. I also research hotels, and sometimes she is able to get them cheaper than what I can do online.

The Air NZ sale price is great, but the dates start too late for us. Our plan was to depart 11/10 and the sale fares start 22/10. Hoping someone comes out with sale fares for our dates:)

Anyone else seen the Qantas 'deals' yet?

I don't think they are competitive at all this year. :sad2:

I haven't seen any deals for Qantas yet, what are their prices? I was still holding out for Australia Day specials...

They have a companion sale at the moment. From memory flights to LAX from MEL are around $1.5k for economy, $3k for premium, and that's per person if you book for two. I'm going alone, so doesn't work for me. The sale ends 24 January, and I'm hoping that's a good sign for an Australia Day sale :)

Thanks, I saw the premium economy companion sale but we don't have a premium economy budget;) I didn't see the economy companion sale, $1500 isn't a great price.

Looks like I'll be holding out for Australia Day too!

Just found this discussion....very interesting!!
We (2A, 3C) got the Air NZ special by adjusting our dates slightly, and spent about $4900 for our return flights MEL to LAX. We had previously been quoted over $8500 just for flights with QANTAS, so were pretty happy with that saving!!
Staying at Howard Johnson which looks awesome!
Can't wait.....bring on October, and Halloween at Disneyland!! Woo hoo!!

Still thinking about flying AirNZ even though we can't get the $1100 fare we can get approx $1350/pp.

I have never flown AirNZ and think we might try the sky couch on the way home, I just wish there was no stop over.

Can't decide if I should hold out for Qantas or lock this one in..

Our original plan was to travel late sept/ early oct, but with such a good price on flights we changed our plans! The stop over did put me off too, to begin with, but the actual flight departure times suit us much better with AirNZ, as we are traveling with young children.
We were waiting for the travel expo in feb to get a good deal on flights, but I don't think we would have got it much cheaper, if any cheaper, than what we paid. We were rapt with the total cost of our travel in the end! We looked into the skycouch too, but it sounded like it was going to be quite costly in the end. Might check it out again later on.
I hope you can get a great price too!! :-)

We have decided to keep waiting and see what other deals come out. I would really prefer to fly Qantas and get on a plane in Melbourne and get off in LA.

My parents were going to book, they are going to San Fran before meeting us at WDW but the date they wanted to leave must be sold out of sale fares (and the few days either side too!).

I would have liked to try the skycouch though:(

Just noticed Qantas has $1299 fares to LA. Early October/November dates are available.

A friend just posted this deal on facebook. $999 Brisbane to LAX. I'm not sure who it's with, but I'm off the investigage :surfweb:

My travel agent assured me that more deals would be coming out soonish! My dates are late November-December though. Hope you manage to score a bargain eventually!
