Is this a good deal : VB - $69/pt + 300 banked points??

I'm in the process of buying a resale (only 5 days after buying our original contract from Disney!!!) and was wondering if you guys think what I am looking at is a good deal...

Vero Beach - 150 pts @ $69. It also comes with 300 banked pts. I calculated that including closing costs, if I rented the banked pts out, the points would come out to $51/pt. Is this a good deal for VB?

We don't plan on staying at VB, but are very flexible with our travel schedule.

disney is offering on ssr 100 bonus points and maintenance fees paid on 2004 and 2005 points for add ons of 125 points. That brings the points down (with rental of said points) to $70 something a point. Vero gives 12 fewer years and one dollar more in maintenance fees per point annually. Either way it's a good deal.

Keep in mind that Vero dues are the highest of all DVC resorts. Any savings you get now will be offset by higher dues in the future. If you don't plan on staying at Vero, than I would not by there. Most on this board will tell you to by where you plan to stay. If you don't have a particular Disney property that you like most than I would buy SSR from Disney. I would purchase 150 points from Disney and then add on another 150 and then you would get all the current add on incentives for SSR. Good luck with your decision!

I was tempted by one of these Vero contracts a year ago (w/ 2 years banked). That one was $60 and while prices have increased elsewhere, the weather has not been kind to that area. You might well get hit with a special assessment/much higher dues in the near future. Also, keep in mind that that will be a difficult contract to sell in the future. If you must have it, offer much less.
