Is there still a chance hours will change for November 2016?

I am planning our 3rd trip to Disney World (with a side of Universal thrown in this time). I'm looking at the week after Veteran's Day and the week before Thanksgiving. Is there still a chance hours for HS and AK will be extended? Also, do you think they will continue with the Galactic Spectacular Fireworks show during that time?

Yes. Our September hours changed a couple times including right before the week we were there.

I've been wondering about this. Currently for my trip Veteran's Day weekend DHS is scheduled to close at 7. Should I assume on a Friday it will be open later for a SW fireworks?

Likely.
But remember, by that date, Daylight Saving Time will be gone and it will be dark an hour earlier.
Which means they can offer fireworks and nighttime shows much earlier.
(It will be fully dark by 6PM on Nov. 11.)

I don't know if they will offer the Star Wars fireworks at DHS "closing time" as they do Fantasmic! (and IllumiNations at Epcot.)

With MK closing at 7pm 3 nights for the party and 4:30 on Thursday for a private event, I'd say they will have to come up with some extended hours somewhere that week.
