Is there really enough to do to stay for 10 days at WDW?

We stay 10 nights and we love it. We do the parks every other day and that worked well for us. I would love to do a 14 night trip, so we can have a few days at the resort to "rest". 'Cause when you do Disney you need a vacay from your vacay!

Definitely! We're doing 14 days on a upcoming trip, although we are also doing a lot of offsite stuff (7 offsite, 7 onsite). So even if you did feel like you ran out of stuff on property in your 10 days (which I doubt you will), then there are lots of other options.

I think the best part of longer visits is your pace can really slow down. If you come across larger than expected lines or crowds, you can easily move onto something else knowing you have other opportunities to come back. I would definitely do hoppers for a stay that long and I would also take advantage of some of the non park activities, like the boat rentals, resort touring, etc...

Have fun!!

We are now thinking of going for 10 day instead of 7 is there enough to do for 10 days?

say whaaaaat! lol Yes deff without a doubt there is enough to do. I have no idea how people try to do it once in a lifetime on a trip! even with 10 days you won't hit it all if it is busy. can you get on pretty much everyhting one might want to in 7 days. ya but everyone list of to do things is diff and for us 7 days would just not cut it and we would never have down time. the days of going nuts in the parks morning noon and night are over for us. we come and go now since we go so often.

if you can do 10 then do it if you can afford it.

Absolutely. We have AP's and over the current year we have three trips planned for a total of 20 days and we go every year. It's not just about is there enough to do - it's about just enjoying being at WDW and taking in the experience. I could stay a week at our resort and not even go to a park and still have a great time. There is just so much more to WDW than just riding rides.

As other posters have said, there is abosolutely enough to do over 10 days.

Our next planned trip is for 12 nights (4 way split between WL, Poly, AKL, and BC).

I'm an AP holder and the rest of my family has 10 day MWY tickets (just purchased these from UT).

We plan to spend 5 days at MK, 3 days at EP, 1 day at each of HS and AK, and 1 no parks day (at AKL).

In that regard, when we visit parks, we typically only hit attractions from RD to around noon. Then, we typically go back to the resort to swim/nap (if in EP, we typically have a TS lunch in WS before going back to the resort).

In the evenings, we have a TS dinner (in or near our resort). After that, we sometimes go back into a park. Often, we just chill in the resort.

I don't anticipate ever feeling bored with this itenerary (and we're not planning to visit DTD or any water parks).

Heck Yeah!!!

Our trips are normally 11 days (once a year) and that isn't enough!

The beauty about a longer trip is you can go at your own pace and stop to "smell the roses".

We might have to do only 9 days next year because of our girls' school schedules and I am panicking about the loss of those extra 2 days!!! :rotfl2:

Some of it will depend on your definition of "stuff to do." Is there enough stuff to do for someone that wants to do everything? Absolutely! Is there enough stuff to do for someone who doesn't mind (or rather, enjoys) repeating? Even more so! Is there plenty of stuff to do for people who enjoy hanging out on a bench for a couple hours and soaking up atmosphere or just simply leisurely touring? You bet! Is there enough stuff to do for someone who commandos the main (read: not water) parks and isn't interested in any other aspect? Probably not.

I typically take 9-10 day solo trips and only focus on the four main parks. I personally don't have any interest in the water parks, DQ, DtD, or resort days, but I fill my days soaking up atmosphere and practicing my photography and it keeps me busy enough.

Absolutely! We went for 10 days 9 nights last year and we still didn't get to do or see everything. We also go off property for 2 days and go to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. We buy the tickets/MEARS transportation combo from dreams unlimited travel - the MEARS shuttle picks us up in the morning at our Disney hotel and we call in the afternoon whenever we want to be picked up. But even if we didn't go off property I still think there would be more than enough to do! Go to DTD, a waterpark, etc.

I'm sure I'm echoing others, but with a long trip, I'd definitely say to factor in some pool/relaxing time. If you do the parks every day, you will get run down and bored before your 10 days is up, IMO. We are two adults so we skip a lot of things, but we go for 8 days and include ample time at DTD, down time at the resort/pool, and we have done a water park in the past. The extra time also allows us to take the parks at a more leisurly pace, also helping us from getting burned out. If you're expecting to be in the parks from open til close all 10 days, then I would say no, there's not enough to do.

Our past trips have been 6 or 7 days, and it is never enough. This time we are going for 12 days. Right now our plan is mornings in the parks including lunch, back to the resort for swimming and resting in the afternoon, then dinner ADR and decide what we feel like doing after. That is for most of the days. We also plan to do a couple of water park days.

There is plenty to do. We are looking forward to being able to take it at a leisurely pace.

We went for 10 days once in September, the crowds were so low, we got a map of each park and made sure we did every attraction available, EVERY ATTRACTION, by day 8 or so we were getting a little bit bored, as we had done everything, and the things we loved multiple times. We were commandos at the time, I would take more time to relax now, and 10 days would be fine, but 10 days of commando-ing gets old after day 7 of so.

Sent from my phone using DISBoards Ap, please excuse any typos and autocorrect mistakes.

Remember that there are 6 parks when you add in the water parks.

However, one of the most commonly forgotten things about DIsney is that there is so much more than just the parks.

If you don't have kids, there are behind the scenes tours. They happen in the parks, but some take most of the day.

There is water boating, parasailiing, fishing, regular sailing, jetskies, surfing lessons, etc.
beaches, pools
Diowntown Disney
The Richard Petty Experience
World of sports
Miniature golf
regular golf (PGA tour courses)
Spa's
Outdoor movies
campfires
arts and crafts, storytime, etc at many of the hotels

and that's just scratching the surface.

You could do something different every day for a month and not run out of things to do. Easily. Probably longer.

The real question is: how many, what age and what interests are in the family?

It is me DH and DD14 so so of those she cant do as some of the tours are 16 and older. We like just about anything but love water parks and swimming and water stuff.

I guess it depends some on how many of the attractions you enjoy, and whether you enjoy repeating them.

For the past four years, we have stayed 12 days every summer, with 10 day park tickets. We have no trouble entertaining ourselves for four days in Magic Kingdom, and four days in Epcot. World Showcase is capable of gobbling up hours with no problem.

Our remaining two park days are spent one in AK, and one in DHS.

The balance of our time is spent between the resort, and DTD.

We have never come away from the trip feeling like we had spent too much time, and had nothing to do. Swimming, fishing, biking, just walking around and taking in the sights are all possibilities at the resort. Heck, POR even has a horse and carriage ride, which we've never done, but that might make it's way into this years trip.

Heck yes. We did 10 days this past March and didn't even come close to doing everything we wanted to do. I could have done 3-4 more days, easy.

Last year we did a 13 night trip and it was lovely.
I leave tomorrow for a 21 night trip. I'm sure we will find plenty to do...:cool1:

We always do 10 days (including arrival and departure day). Our upcoming trip we land @ MCO 10 AM on Nov 9th, and leave 5 PM flight on Nov 18th.

2 days MK
2 days Epcot
2 days AK
1 day DHS
1 day water park
1 day resort stay / DTD
The "return home" day we usually only have a few hours in the morning, this year we are going to go to MK for a few hours and then back to the resort for a few hours.

Of course theres more than enough! I remember reading somewhere that you could stay at disney world for a year and still not get to see/do everything. SO i dont think you'll have a problem filling up 10 days :P

The beauty of a longer trip is not only that there is PLENTY to do, but that you can go at a bit of more leisurely pace and really enjoy all the experiences. You'll still have more restaurants than you can eat at, more attractions/shows than you can take it, etc. In our ideal world, we'd love to go for two weeks but the most we've managed so far has been 9 days -- and that was definitely not enough time!

This is what we did last year with our two teen girls, we actually stopped to smell the roses & we had the best trip ever. It was our first 10-day stay and we absolutely LOVED everything about it. We all agreed it turned out to be the most relaxing Disney trip we've ever taken.

For us it would be too much. We did a nine day/ten night trip once and we were ready to go home when it was time. To us five-seven days is plenty.
