sorry for the question..my head is spinning trying to sort though threads about FP+ all morning and all Im reading is people arguing about it..LOL...we are thinking of staying offsite this year and wondered if we can still use fast pass. We still have unused tickets from last year we plan to use up this year. Trying to understand the new system here... also if we can use it, what are the chances of actually getting a FP if we book them the week before we come as we are not sure till the last minute what week my husband is getting off work yet....thanks for your patience :)

My understanding is that, right now, off site guests can book their FPs at kiosks when they arrive at the parks.

Thank you both for the info..so I go to a kiosk..ok but next question...Im going in June which will be really busy...FP wont be all gone will they?? Does that sort of thing happen or am I still guaranteed FP s?

Yep - that's what I'm planning on next month. Annual passholder and not thrilled with not having the pre-booking optoin but there is a reason I am an annual passholder - this won't be my only time in a year so if I don't see things I want this time, there's always next time.

short answer - yes, if you are offsite you can use/ get 3 FP+ per day

Longer Answer - right now as in this second - offsite folks can only book FP+ on the day of - after you've entered a park for the day. That however is rumored to change - rumor is soonish offsite folks will be able to book in advance like onsite folks can.

Side note - the availability is going to depend on - how busy it is when you go, and (if you have to book day of) - how early you get to the parks. When we were there in January I changed our FP+ schedule a few times - even the night before a park and had no trouble getting what we wanted in the times that we wanted. However that was during a really slow season (late January) and we were onsite so had an early booking advantage.

The system is too new to answer that question well. What I am confident of is that you are guaranteed three FPs, but I am far from confident they will be the three FPs you want.

So far people have been reporting that there are still FP's available in the morning hours. I don't think that is any kind of a guarantee, but there wasn't a guarantee with the old system either. I walked up to more than one FP machine in the past only to discover that there were no more available.

Dis nut I am pretty sure you can log into your mydisneyexperience account and line up some fp's. As long as your ap is linked to your my disney experience. You only get so many per quarter unless you are staying n site however.

No, APs can get up to 7 days FPs at any one time. Once days pass, more FPs can be added.

Yup.

Where did that "X number of FP+ per quarter for AP's" rumor come from?
I've seen it repeated a few times lately.

I'm assuming you're being facetious, 'cause I think of that poster whenever I've heard that perpetuated rumor lately.

If I'm staying onsite but cannot link my comp tickets (at least not YET), will I be able to book FP+ online? After all, I AM staying onsite...

if you cannot link your tickets, then you cannot make FP+ reservations- you can call WDW and see if they can give you a way to link your tickets if you want to make FP+ reservations ahead of time.

There is currently no way to link comp tickets.

I asked because I read that some people have been able to book FP+ and have not yet linked their tix on MDE. The assumption is that it is possibly linked to ADRS. If this is, in fact, true, then it wouldn't be too farfetched to think my resort reservation would entitle me to make FP+ selections prior to my trip.

Staying offsite as the one weekend we really want to go does not have good discounts. But I don't really care. Disney World is more than the rides and if we get to do some, then that's fine. If not, we'll still have a great trip.
