Is there anything better than muddy dogs??

Just another reason I love my LBD (little black dog). :goodvibes

I can't believe the rain we have gotten. The creek behind my house is now a river flowing into my back yard. Awful. I think the mud has all been washed away since the standing pools (we are beyond puddles) are clear. My dog isn't a fan of the rain so she will go out and do her business and be ready to come back in. She stays clean--wet, but clean. I, on the other hand, am attached to the other end of the leash and need fresh shoes and socks after each walk.

I do find it helpful to keep an old towel and a container of baby wipes by the front door.

What about having to give a white Cocker with a fear of water, a bath at about 5 am on a summer Saturday morning because he decided to dig. It's amazing when they're white how much dirtier they seem to get.

But the cockapoo who has the poodle brain. A couple of months ago, she managed to dig up her own poop.

LOL how about a 175lb Great Pyrenees . It was 35 degrees out side and he just got back from the groomer. I let him out to potty for 10 mins and he rolled in the mud several times.

I bathed him in my driveway with the hose he was to big for the tub and too muddy .. OMG SO COLD. He was shivering and so was I !! Poor thing, I tried to dry him with hair dryer. Finally gave up and cranked the heat up to 80, locked him in the kitchen and left.

UGHHH!!!

I'd like to know how I'm getting my 10 inch tall pekingese out to poop in the 18 inches of snow we are supposed to be getting tonight.

I feel your pain! At least its going to be a while before things get muddy with our "30+ inches" of snow dumping on us...

Probably look a little something like my shih tzu last week. She hasn't seen snow in a few years, at least. She took one look at the yard, turn back, and pooped in the garage.....perfect! My male on the other hand LOVED the snow. He ran circles around my house....actually he couldn't really run because the snow was deeper than his legs. He sort of hopped up and down like a bunny. He was so covered in ice and snow. My dd said he had ice "dingleberries" hanging off of him....that's a magical description, isn't it?

My schnauzer loves the snow but even she won't go out if it gets too deep. We have to shovel her a pathway to the lawn and clear a spot for her.

Winston loves the snow too. He runs in it which kicks up the snow which in turn he chases. He's playing catch with himself.

That's what we are going to have to do too.

You do like my neighbor and shovel an area in your yard.;)

I just want to add I am sick of cleaning up muddy dogs. At least I have a system. Let them in and yell TOWEL! Then dry them up. I have about 20 towels that we use to clean dogs up exclusively.

I have a storm sewer in my backyard, at the end of a bluff. If it is wet, it is muddy.

I feel your pain, but definitely agree, the skunks are worse.

Also, I once came home to find my lovely Yorkie IN my bed COVERED in bacon grease. He looked like a newborn calf. I had to wash him four times to get it all out. Wonderful!

Re: the snow. My younger dog is also a little bunny when it gets too deep. He also loooves to eat the snow. It's so cute.
