My pet peeve is incorrect apostrophe use....and it's rampant. My DS#1 was in a pre-k class called "Explorers" last year. In EVERYTHING - including printed material from the school's main office and his group picture - it was written "Explorer's." Since they always used it as in, "The Explorers class is going to the zoo today," it completely drove me nuts. I know everyone is entitled to make a mistake (and heaven knows I do!), but if it's the official name of something, please make sure it's correct!!! Spell check has never picked up homophone issues, among other things. It's hard to convince my fourth graders (and their parents) of that, though....
