Dear wovenwonder -
Thank you so much for those kind words. She was very special and even more so through her death because now people can become aware of organ donation and the value human life has even after the last breath.
He wasn't drunk - just a newly licensed 16 year old boy who wasn't paying attention who has never felt any remorse about it. Which for his sake is very sad.
BUT if in my memorial to her (who I have the most wonderful web tech's help making) - just ONE person thinks about organ donation and makes an informed decision, then it has served it's purpose. I may never need an organ donation or have anyone that I love need one, but anyone of many DIS readers, might either need or know of someone who does. As long as we are informed then, we can make the right decision - even if that decision is not to donate.
I am so sorry to make you sad about her loss - her life was more than that one event - it was made up of thousands of happy, loving ones and I try to remember that when I give my message about organ donation.
And to Markey - I agree with you 100% the people that got MY room for May 2003 probably don't care either - but I certainly! Just soooo possessive!!!!
Happy sailing -
Rae
