Is there any possibility to get a cancelled reservation for the Castle?

Used up all my days & couldn't get a reservation. Should I keep trying to call to see if there are any cancellations? That could get costly calling long distance every day or so. Any suggestions? Our last day was 12/5 (leaving 12/6) - I thought that was a slow time of year!!!!

Yes!! Keep trying. I have been trying to get a cancellation for the Princess Breakfast in Norway for 6 weeks and nothing has opened up, but I started asking about Cindys and lo and behold, I got that just after a week of calling!

I think people are more apt to cancel Cindys because of the credit card deposit they are charged. I don't believe there are any charges if you don't cancel the Princess PS.

Can't help with the long distance--that is a problem. I have been calling on the Disney Club toll free line. ( Gotta get my money's worth now that they are doing away with DC )

Keep calling and Good Luck!!

Kacey, did you call different times during the day (how many times). I call at least twice a day (usually early a.m., then during the afternoon), no luck.

I really would like to take my two girls to this, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen. I also plan to call when we check in, and when we arrive at the park.

I asked one time while I was on the phone if these 'open up', and they guy said sometimes - but I think now that people put down money, it is getting slim.

Good Luck treloarf

I'd also try 2 days before you want to eat at CRT. Isn't the cancellation 48 hrs in advance to avoid penalty?

that someone had luck walking up with NO Priority Seating!!!!!

Ithastobe,

I called once or twice a day and lucked out one afternoon. The CM was as excited as I was! She said she rarely gets to book CRT after 7am.

Side note: about the Princess Breakfast, we had to have Oct 10 because that is the only day my granddaughter Katie, myself and her other grandmother would all be there. (We are arriving on the 9th and they are leaving on the 11th) Well, Katie's other grandmother just called and said she asked yesterday at the hotel desk for PS and there were none. Today, just for the heck of it, she decided to ask again and they gave her a choice of times for Oct 10th--go figure:rolleyes: But we are thrilled and Katie will get to go to the Princess Breakfast and I hope she is as happy as her grandmothers!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

So, I would especially try 2 or 3 days ahead as well!
Good Luck!

Hi Treloarf,

You and I must take vacation at the same time almost every year.
Two years ago, I think we almost went on the disney Cruise in a cabin right next to each other. We canceled because I got a new job and rebooked for the same time this year. Well back in March, my 4 year old started talking about Disney World, and how much he really wanted to go. We havent been in two years, and had the itch as well. So we figured, with him being 5 this year, that we should make this trip for him. It worked out well because we actually get more actual vacation time.

We are going 11/28 - 12/8 this year.

Good luck with the CRT ressies!!

Melanie

We went on the cruise after Thanksgiving last year. It was wonderful. This year we want to check out the Christmas decorations at Disney. We do like to travel that time of year. But we may be selling our Disney DVC so I don't know how many more times we'll be going! Nice to hear from you!!!

Thanks for the encouragement Kacey! I just keep trying and will hope for the best. If it doesn't happen then that wil just give us another reason to go back!!!
:D

When we were at the MGM reservation area in the park (near the fountain) making lunch & dinner reservations for Epcot the next day, I commented to the girl helping me that I had heard the breakfast in the castle was so hard to get a reservation for. She told me cancellations occur all the time--but they usually are for the earlier seatings! Hope this helps!
