Is there an incentive for add-on?

We are contemplating buying 50 more points before the price goes up. Is there any incentive going on right now that I may be able to take advantage of? Thanks. Currently we have 255 pts at SSR.

No incentive offered, other than the price going from $101 to $104 on June 1st.

We just returned yesterday from a long weekend and added 25 pts. at AKV. Would have liked to have bought more, but adding 25 was DH idea, so who am I to argue or ask for more? They did give us a new tote bag, two SSR pins and two DVC "I know the Secret" pins. I asked for AKV pins but they are not available yet. Bill was our guide and said he would mail me some when they come in.

We have 240 pts. at SSR and since 25 pts. is the minimum allowed to add on, we wanted to add pts. for AKV so we could book at the 11 month window. Trouble is, we only added 25 pts at AKV and our ressies will require way more than 25 pts.! We thought we'd be able to make the whole reservation at 11 mos. out, even if we only had 25 pts. at the resort we wanted to book, and the remainder of the pts. at a diff. resort. Oh well, we'll probably add on more again in the future. Either way, we now have a total of 265 pts.!

There are incentives available at a few of the resorts. Prices are going up at most of the resorts on June 5th.

Prices through June 4th:
AKV = $101 - $8 incentive = $93 (min 100 pts.)
SSR = $101 - $10 incentive = $91 (min 50 pts.)
BCV = $95
BWV, VWL = $95
OKW = $92
HHI, VB = $92 - $5 incentive = $87 (min. 50 pts.)

After June 4th:
AKV, SSR = $104 (not clear if the incentives will still be available)
BCV = $101
BWV, VWL = $98
OKW, HH and VB = $92

Don't forget -- depending on your use year, you will still get 2006 points, you don't pay any dues for 2006, and the 2007 dues will be prorated....

If people are valuing points at about $10 each, I think that makes a big difference and should be considered a big incentive. This is another advantage that buying direct from Disney has over resale.

I am in the process of checking of an add-on. Depending on your use year (ours is December), there were no pts available at BWV, BCV has a waiting list. SSR is $101 pt but is discounted to $91 pt til June 4th.
