Is there an Einstein Bros. Bagels near FW?

Since when is Einswine bagels such a luxury item anyway?

OP - As the fellow mom of a large family I admire the amount of work you are putting into planning your upcoming trip to Disney so I've been following your exploits with great interest!:goodvibes

A petroleum allergy is interesting and I was just wondering how you know which food items contain petroleum? Is there a website that I can visit?

I happened to notice your weekly menu on the budget board and I wondered how you knew which items contain petroleum and which items do not. Do you make homemade corn chips for the nachos? What about the cheese? Is there a certain brand of potato chips or hot dogs that I should look out for that would not contain petroleum? I'm in awe if you grow your own organic produce and make homemade hot dogs and chips. With homeschooling and your super tight budget I can't imagine how you find the time. Please share some of your recipes when you get a chance! I know my kids would love to try organic, fat, sugar, and petroleum free french toast casserole or chili!:thumbsup2

Just to clarify, one reason we camp instead of staying at a hotel is because I cook most all our food from scratch rather than risk a reaction from eating out. There are places that have some items we know we can have, but it is just easier to cook every thing myself and be sure.

Also, since petro-chemcials can cause a host of ills, including cancer, the rest of my family is happy to eat clean food. They feel sorry for their friends who eat junk and then act out of control and get in trouble. They urge their friends to consider their food choices more carefully. :D

You know this is the second time you make this condescending statement here on the DIS and it is awfully rude. Last time it was your kids feel sorry for families who do not have lots of children. It seems to me that you are teaching your children that your lifestyle is better than others and they should really pity all the small, non homeschooling, petroleum eating famalies. It is funny that someone who claims to be so religious would take such a better than others attitude!

Welcome to the Camping Boards! :woohoo:

I haven't seen you post here before....the more the merrier!

I do find it interesting though that you chose to come over here and post simply to take a swipe at the OP.

Why do you feel that necessary? Maybe the OP's "lifestyle", as you refer to it, strikes a nerve with you somehow? It really doesn't matter. But on the surface, it does seem odd that you felt the need to come over here to a thread about BAGELS and turn this into a fight.

If you are just a troll who's purpose in being here is to stir up the rednecky campers...well, congratulations. I guess I'm a bit stirred up. Now go away.

If your purpose is not that of a troll, but you did this because the OP's posts bother you THAT much, why not just ignore her? If you just can't stand large, homeschooling, non-petroleum eating families...then ignore her. Your problems will be solved. And in the process, so will mine.

Well that is a very presumptuous and quite ignorant statement because I never said any of that. I actually lurk here and did not know that you needed to have permission from a few people to post here. I read this particular post because of the OP . I followed her last thread and actually was pretty sympathetic to her situation. However I notice again she comments that her children feel sorry for those who live a different lifestyle than them whether it be having lots a siblings or eating petroleum. I do not teach my children to judge others and how they live and I find very confusing how someone who lives their life in such a manner to please God would do just that. Now you can continue with the bully like behavior, calling me names ( TROLL) and making ignorant assumptions on things that I have never said but you are only making yourself look silly!!!

wtccheermom,

First, I never called you a troll. I said "If" you are a troll...and I am glad you are not.

Second, I never said you need permission from anyone to post on the camping boards. I of course have no control over the DIS nor would I want to limit who can post here, as I enjoy the communication and banter with everyone. I merely questioned why you found it necessary to post what seemed to be an out-of-the blue attack on the OP on a 2 month old thread about bagels.

Third, I don't think I bullied you or conducted myself in a manner that would even be construed as bullying by any reasonable person. (and no, I'm not calling you unreasonable). Apparently you have the impression that I am part of some clique of bullies here. Search my post history, you will see that I am many things, but am not a bully. Presumptuous and ignorant maybe , but bully no.

I like to believe that people can be misunderstood and misinterpreted quite easily in an internet forum. You don't get the benefit of voice inflection, body language and other intangibles, and it's easy to take statements out of context. If I misinterpreted your motives then I retract my statements and apologize. Is it possible you have misinterpreted the OP? And even if not, I do stand by my earlier statement that it is sometimes better to simply ignore people you disagree with. Feel free to ignore me.

I agree with Dave,

if anyone needs "adjusting" on the camping board "we" can handle it and in a more timely manner also. :rotfl:

I really feel for you and your situation if you are feeding a family of 8 based on what a single person has an issue with. I just can't imagine that ... you either make 7 suffer or one feel he is different and has to be eating something completely different that all his siblings and parents.Larry

It takes someone with no knowledge of the subject matter to say that. My son has a severe peanut allergy. In your opinion, either we feed the rest of the family peanuts while he has something else, or we are singling out our son as an oddball.

The rest of the family happily dropped all peanut foods out of the family menues years ago. We all eat what is safe for him, because to do otherwise is to endanger him. That is hardly "suffering." Not sure why that is such a negative thing in your humble opinion, but maybe you should stick to posting about refridgerators.
