Is there an easier way to get on the train, than the giant step up?

DH now has issues climbing into a mini van ( we use a half step) , I'm thinking the train might give him issues. It's been a few years, but it seems to me, that step is pretty big to get in. I thought there was a spot for taking wheelchairs onboard. Can one use that ramp to get on train even if walking. He would be using a scooter all day and a cane when he has to leave the scooter behind.

The front passenger train car is wheelchair accessible (or at least was before it was closed).
If it’s still the same as I remember, there was space for at least 2 forward facing wheelchair spots and a rear facing bench in front of them.
Guests using ECVs would leave there ECV at the station. If they can’t walk from where the ECV is parked, they can borrow an attraction wheelchair.
Since the ramps are meant for pushing up, most ride vehicle ramps don’t have railings or handholds, which may make them not as easy to use as you might expect

Thank you. Maybe with a cane and me , he can make it. We've left so many rides behind. Splash, thunder mountain, POC, PP,FOP......I'll be sad for him if he can't get on.

I wonder I’d he could borrow a wheelchair to use as a walker to get onto train.

I know in the past they did have some attraction wheelchairs that could be borrowed by people who had to park their ECVs at the station (because the train is not ECV accessible)
Anyone know of pictures of the ramp area on the train?
I did, but lost some photos and I couldn’t find one in a quick check. I’ll look more when I have a chance.
