Is there an August '08 waitlist thread?

We have a savannah view studio at AKV for 8/3 - 8/6 and a concierge studio for 8/6 - 8/9. We have been waitlisted for a concierge studio for the first 3 nights since I booked 4 or 5 months ago...It will not be the end of the world if the wait list doesn't come through...but it would be SOOO nice if it did.

I check the member site every day....I think if it the reservation info actually changed I would fall out of my chair!!

I think we need some pixie dust!

Hi everyone! I'm new to DVC and this whole waitlist thing... We are thinking about squeezing in a trip late August and looking for a studio Aug. 24, 25 and 26. Right now Saratoga Springs is the only villa available. If I'm interested in four other villas,do I give them my list in order of preference? How does that work exactly? Also, is it best to call every day, or just check the web site?

I'm think my chances of something coming through are about slim to none, but I imagine it's worth a try. Sounds like there are some success stories here!

You would give them the waitlists you want. There is no priority, if one comes through, you would get it and the others would then be eliminated.

If you wanted another one more than the one you got, call back and add new waitlists....

I got my waitlist on the 19th for the week of July 27-Aug 1 OKW 2 bedroom near Hospitality House. When I booked we were going to have to move 3 times in 5 days to be able to stay at OKW for a party our size. I am very happy!!

Our waitlist for Aug 5-6-7 at BCV studio came through so we cancelled OKW HH Studio for those days.

It'll be our first stay at BCV and we are soooo looking forward to it!!

Our August trip is now

5-7 BCV studio
8-9 AKL Club Level
10-15 AKV Sav View Studio

We are booked at AKL our first night 8/21 in a SVS and then the next 3 nights in a VS and the last 2 nights at OKW. We are waitlisted for AKL for those 2 nights but I have a feeling it won't happen. We'll have to move twice as it is but we would feel better if all the moves were in the same resort. Pixie Dust to all on wait lists.
