Is there an AP discount on the Mickey's Halloween Party Tickets?

Hi there,

I just started planning our 3rd familiy Tip to DL!..We will be there for Last week of October, since I couldn't find availability at the HOJO a week before.

This time I'm planning on buying one AP so we can enjoy the benefit discounts for the whole group, but I'm not sure if AP holders get discounted MHP tickets?

Can anyone please confirm? Thanks!

AP holders do get discounted tickets for MHP. But there are days during MHP you don't get the AP discount and have to pay the regular price. During the last week of October for MHP days, the prices are the same with or without the AP when I look at the DL website that is selling the MHP tickets. Monday 27th is $63, Wednesday 29th is $70 and Halloween day Friday 31st is $77.

There is a discount depending on the date. The only thing is, I believe you must have an activated AP in order to get the discount...just having a voucher will not do. Perhaps someone can confirm.
If you have a Disney Visa or are a DVC member, they usually offer the same discount as the AP's.

Even on the discounted nights, it's only a $7 discount for APs. So unless your group is enormous, I'd just go ahead and buy the MHP tickets now to make sure your preferred date doesn't sell out.

Would be interested to know if a voucher gets the discount or not. We are thinking of getting one ap for our trip sept/oct next year, but being in Australia I assume I get a voucher and can only activate it in the parks is that right? Is it that popular it's likely to sell out if we only booked tickets the week of the party most likely the last one in sept.

Last year many dates sold out well in advance.

Last time I went to the MHP (in 2012) I had my AP voucher when the tickets went on sale, and was not planning on getting my pass activated until that trip in October. When I called about the pre-sale, they said I could not get the AP discount since the pass had not been activated yet. I did have a Disney Visa, and was able to get the discount with that.
