Sorry if this is a funny question, but I've only ever checked luggage, and these won't fit!! LOL! Can it be done?

If you can check skis and golf clubs, it seems logical that a boogie board would be fine. You might have to pay an oversized charge, however. Check your airline's website for information about luggage size limits and sporting equipment.

Yes, you can check it, it will need to be in some sort of box or bag, and you will be charged an oversized luggage fee for it, generally $50 each way.

You might actually find it cheaper and more convenient to send it via FedEx to your resort in advance.

Hi there,

Yes, you can check boogie boards. We did this summer for our trip to Hawaii, using a boogie board bag, which held two boogie boards, and other assorted items like snorkel equipment, and board shirts.

We were not charged anything extra, it is checked like regular luggage, as long as it doesn't exceed the airline's weight requirement. It shouldn't, as boards are light. I WAS charged 25.00 on an inter island flight as our suitcase exceeded the weight limit...(we were carrying books to read for our three week trip!!!)

Have fun boogie boarding! :D

When we were in Hawaii somebody "gifted" my DD a boogie board in the first couple of days. We passed it on to another family our last day there. I guess it's pretty common, a lot of people just buy them there.
