Is there a water slide at Disneyland Hotel Neverland Pool?

DKs are begging to stay at HoJo for the Pirate Pool again--they're more excited about that than about DL :)
Rates at DLH are fairly decent for June and pics of the Neverland Pool look awesome but I can't tell if there's a waterslide? Don't want to spend an extra $150 just to have them say they'd rather have gone to HoJo!

Thanks!

I have a picture from when we stayed in a pool view room this April.
I have a nighttime picture, and then I tried to get a shot of all the kids waiting for the Easter Egg Hunt so you can kind of see the back 1/2 of the slide. it always looked like kids were on the slide. We have been there a few times but because we spend so much time in the park rarely spend time in the pool. Hope this helps

Do your kids swim well? Will they be able to come off the big slide and swim *immediately* out of the area, withOUT you waiting there for them?

If not, don't book DLH based on the big slide.

The little slide is literally about 4 feet long, a straight thing, with a mob of parents waiting for their kids. YES littles like it, but it's no reason to book the DLH.

Gorgeous photos; thanks!
Thanks for the heads up on the big slide--we'll make sure to stay right there with them--always do :)

You cannot wait for them ~ DD did not like the big slide last Sept. *she was scared* and DS got bored with it pretty quickly. I'll be sure to pack arm floaties for her *surely they wouldn't have a problem with her wearing them. She swam *with her floaties on* for a couple hours last week at our hotel while we were visiting Arches & Canyonlands National Parks.

Can they wear life jackets on the slides? Are they available? My kids did this at CBR this past winter to go on the slide.

So with a 4 year old and a 7 year old would the pool at HoJo's be better than the DL one? The HoJo one looks a lot like the CBR pool to me which my kids loved.

If the slide is really important then I recommend Paradise Pier. The have a real water slide that ends in a shallow end with a lifeguard. There is no need to be able to swim. My grandkids LOVED it. They prefer that hotel over DLH.

No waiting for kids, no lifejackets on the big slides at GCH and DLH (on the little bitty slide at DLH they can wear them). Kids have to be able to get out of the slide area entirely on their own. There can't be more than one person in the slide area (which is roped off and, when we were there, had its own lifeguard) at a time.

PPH, as nana mentioned, is different because their slide doesn't empty into the pool. So the rules aren't as strict.

DS is going to love WDW as the rules are different...but anyone coming from WDW to DLR is going to be disappointed b/c things are so strict, and it's good to know in advance!

Well that's good info to know. Maybe we'll do Paradise Pier. The looks like a great waterslide!

Thinking the pirate ship at HOJO's will be too small for my 7 year old. :confused3

On every trip we stay at Hojos but since they have had the pirate area we have always been when it's too cold to use it, however my DD8 would have a blast playing there! DH and I went once by ourselves in September and there were even older kids than that playing around there.

Do you *think/know if* floaties are OK?

No, they are not okay.

DLR is EXTREMELY strict about the big slides (must be some CA liability law or something).

If a child looks under about 8 years old, the lifeguard will make the child perform a swim test, where they will be required to swim about 15-20 feet across the pool in about a depth of 4.5 feet. If the child cannot do that independently and without struggling, they will NOT be allowed to go on the slide.

The slides look really short from the pictures. I'm thinking my DS7 would get more out of the bigger slide at PP. But I could be wrong. He did like the pirate ship at CBR couple months ago which looks similar to Hojos.

That's true - the slide is pretty short.
