Is there a safari tour for non concierge?

I would like to go on one of those tours but I am not staying concierge. Are there any tours like this.

I don't want a behind scenes at Animal Kingdom oen, I'd like just a regular go on the safari ride and see the animals.

Well, I'm not sure if it's the "same" but at the AK park, there is the Kilimanjaro Safari ride. I believe it's the same one offered to AKL concierge guest, only the one for them is a behind the scenes, and breakfast buffet. We are staying at AKL, not concierge, so we can't do the one from the resort, but for the most part, I think it's the same "ride". If I'm wrong, someone will clarify.

Last year, this safari was offered for grand gatherings as well as AKL concierge. I don't know of any other way to get in on the safari. If its something you really want to do, could you possible swing 1-2 nights in concierge at AKL? I'd love to do this and that is the way we are thinking of doing it. Maybe the last night or 2 of our trip next year.

There are several different safaris offered.

Kilimanjaro Safari - one of the attractions in AK (park). Ride takes about 20 minutes, open to all park guests

"Sunrise Safari" - offered to AKL Concierge level guests. Lasts about an hour. Uses the same vehicles and same path as the regular Kilimanjaro Safari ride. Also includes breakfast

"Sunset Safari" - offered to AKL Concierge level guests. Takes place at AKL on one of the savannahs there. Don't know how long this lasts. I believe this one includes Dinner

"Wildlife Discovery Excursion" - offered to concierge level guests at other resorts (not AKL). Takes about an hour, uses the normal Kilimanjaro Safari path, different vehicle, and some different turn off points.

"Backstage Safari" - a tour that can be booked through 407-WDW-TOUR. It's a pretty lengthy backstage tour at AK (park), that includes a 20 minute ride on a Kilimanjaro Safari truck, with a different spiel.

"Magical Gathering Safari Celebration Dinner" - open to groups of 8 or more staying on disney property, that have registered their group as a Magical Gathering. Must be booked through the MG office. 25 minute safari on the Kilimanjaro Safari path, different spiel, plus a dinner.

Contact the Concierge staff at the AKL immediately (call or email). Tell them what safari you want and when you want to take it. They will make the arrangements for you when it is time.
