Is there a "rush" of people entering at 2pm?

I'm starting to plan a quick two day trip in early December. Because we are only going for two days it looks like we will be doing park hoppers to try to maximize our experience. Things can definitely change between now and December, but as of now the rules are that you can't park hop until 2pm. For people who have been at the parks, have you noticed a rush of people entering the parks at this time? I'm wondering if this is almost like a second rope drop where people wait at the park gates until they can get in and head directly to the "hot" popular rides. For example, do lines suddenly go up around this time for the popular rides (Seven Dwarves, Smuggler's Run, Flight of Passage, etc.)? Has this been anyone's experience? I know it wouldn't be as dramatic as the actual park opening, as people will either stay in one park all day or park hop later in the afternoon/evening, but is there any kind of noticeable surge?

You've summed up the answer to your own question.

Our one experience with the 2pm opening was at the main gate of Epcot. There were probably 20 park hopping people waiting to be let in. The CM let us in a few minutes before 2pm, so there wasn't any wait at all for anyone who showed up at 2pm.

Our experience was EPCOT IG, which was surprisingly crowded when we arrived. But we waited in line for no more than 10 minutes and got right in - not as bad as it looked when the queue was extended back around the Skyliner!

We have park hopped at 2 PM a few times at MK, DHS, and Epcot.

Our experience is that there is no big rush and they let you in a few minutes early.

There might be a small group waiting by the turnstiles at 1:45, but it will be cleared in a minute or 2 when they let people in.
