Is there a Project Runway thread? (does anyone watch it?)

What did you think of last night's episodes? I liked it so far.

I don't mind Daniel being back. He seems sweet, and I like his designs.

Santino's are gorgeous, but he has a huge ego.

Lupe bothers me a bit and the jury is still out on the others. Looks to be a good season.

And Heidi Klum looks adorable!

I only watched the first hour. Who got cut in the second hour. I thought Santino was a nice guy. I hope they show a rerun of what I missed. I love this show.

Not sure how I feel about Santiago. I usually like the designs that could be worn right off the runway onto the street. Guess I wouldnt be much good judging this show . I loved Chole's blue dress last night - I thought it was amazing.

I missed last nights season premiere!!

I loved Project Runway last season and I am so happy its back...looking forward to a re-run to catch up!

I had never watched the show before, but I was home sick yesterday and started watching the marathon rerun from last season and got hooked. So I watched the premier last night and now I'm hooked. I really love to see the creativity they can portray all being given the same materials. How fun!!

I watched both episodes last night and really enjoyed it.

(I watched every episode last year twice - at least!)

It looks like they are doing the new season right - no sequel jinx yet!

One question -- what do the designers get for winning an episode? No immunity or prizes were mentioned for the first two episodes.

It doesn't seem like they get anything this time. They didn't announce anything to Chloe, but perhaps that will happen next episode. Too bad for the models, if the designer loses, they are automatically out this time.

Oooh, I"m *so* obsessed with this show. I used to model (I met Heidi once), and I sew a lot of my own stuff, so I'm rooting for the models, I'm rooting for the designers (go Chloe!) and it's #1 on my TiVo.

I still think Austin Scarlett should have won last year over Knitter Boy.

I think Santino, the giant dude with the ego to match, is perfectly suited to the industry. With the designers it's all either go big or get out.

I'm really liking that this year everyone actually *knows* how to sew. A few idiots last year couldn't, and that really bugged me. Who can't thread a sewing machine. A serger, yeah, that's a bear, but c'mon, a regular ol' sewing machine?

And the model that dropped out, wow, the only reason I can think of that she would is that she's wanted in some country and is on the lam from the law. Or insane, because that kind of exposure is every model's dream!

Ok - thank god I tivo'd it...cause I had to fast forward to the bald guy (sorry - forget his name) CRYING on the runway when describing his outfit.

omg...such drama.

and the way he ran off the runway after he was "in"...even my gay brother would say "that is SO gay!"

lots of intersting people this season though...Chloe is very talented I think...and Daniel (from Season1) is a great sewer...but I think he's going to trip over his own perfectionism.

Santino is sooooooooooooo full of himself...he needs to go.
I like how Chloe and Kara (? South AFrican girl) "controlled" Daniel some...even though they did lose...he took it like a man.

So far my 2 favorites are Chloe and little Nick. heheh

The really young girl...with the glasses? Omg...her voice just GRATES on my nerves...it's like she's talking with her teeth clenched.

I agree, Santino really needs to go, he's turning into a one trick pony of sorts with his designs. His designs this week were so ugly, they looked like Halloween costumes. I really like Nick, I loved his MyScene Barbie dress from last week, it was great.

I love this show. Tha fact that Santino was just yelling at Nina (the judge) really bothered me. Its like no one can have an opinion that differs from him. And the fact that he was so upset at Nick winning the Barbie challenge! I have liked a lot of Santino's designs but I would love to see his reaction if he gets cut.

My favorites are Nick and Chole.I hope they last.

YES! Leave it to a gay man to design a FAB dress for Barbie. I think it totally fit in with "barbie" and if I had a little girl to buy for, I'd totally buy it!

I wonder if they'll have to do a "challenge" for maternity wear? I mean, i KNOW it's "project runway" and that all haute couture...but I think it would be cool.

And Heidi has to be the best host for this show...when she was talking with Daniel and he brought up "lovemaking" ...the way she looked at the camera was like "someone, get me out of here, NOW!" heheh

Her face was priceless, I tivo'd back just to watch it again. A maternity challenge is a great idea. I already pre-ordered Nick's Barbie for my DD, it's being shipped 1/20.

I reeeeeaaalllly don't like Sanitago. His designs for the lingerie were (at least IMHO) really ugly. And I don't like the way he is such a poor loser. If he wins, he takes it as his "right" to win and if he loses, he has to say something nasty to the winner. Even if he is talented, I don't know why anyone would want to hire him (or work for him) because he is so nasty.

Interestingly, Daniel F (the Daniel who got voted off) had the number 2 and number 3 most popular garments in the viewer voting. And, I don't think it was just because people felt sorry for him. He does need someone to control him because he's always trying something else at the last minute. I did feel he really made a good impression on everyone when he said if anyone from his team should get voted off, it should be him.

I agree with the reasons you put for Daniel F. I think the bottoms of his designs looked quite a bit alike, although the tops were quite different. I do think the judges wanted to get rid of him because he had been on before. Not get rid of him right away (because what would be the point of having him back in the first place), but get rid of him before he got too far.

I also think they kept Santino (I guess from the website that's his name, not Santiago) because he is going to give them some "drama" and excitement in the show. A show full of Daniel F's would be sweet, but not as interesting.
