Is there a policy on canceling ADRs due to disability?

The main limitation we'll have is her back. She can take about 2-3 hours at a time, and then she'll need to do something to take pressure off her spine for a while.

If she went to First Aid, to lie down for a bit, I imagine it would be easier to get the fee waived.

I had to cancel an ADR due to illness and when I called and explained they said it was fine but we would still be charged the $10 cancellation fee per person and was I sure I wanted to cancel. I said I was sure and gave an explanation as to why and was told alright but we would still be charged since we were canceling with less than 24 hours notice (we had about an hour and a half until the time). No pixie dust for me. Just something to think about as a possibility, even though most people seem to have had their fees waived.

Even though several people have posted on this thread that they were not charged, there is no way yo know how many are charged vs how many are not.
As the last poster pointed out, there is no guarantee you won't be charged the cancellation fee, even with a disability or illness. So, if you are OK with the possibility, then go ahead and make the reservations.

Make reservations very cautiously if you have a 'known' reason for sudden illness as there are many people who will 'claim' illness to try to get out of the $10 fee - no way for them to tell the honest ones - is a very real shame in my book - but, it's the same with most legit things (like service dogs, etc.). Always those that will lie to have their way. :sad2:
