Is there a point to buying memory maker in advance?

Can't you look over all photos online before purchasing the same package at the end of your stay? Is there a benefit to buying in advance? Last visit I was really disappointed by the photos taken in the parks and didn't order any.

You save $50 by buying it ahead of time.

Thanks! That makes sense. :) can you still view all the pics online via your account? If so, I think I'll just buy at the end oft trip if the pics are great. I'd rather spend $200 on pics I like than $150 on pics I don't. :)

Check out the ** at the bottom of this link https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/memory-maker/

it mentions a 3 day waiting period "If Memory Maker is added to your Magic Your Way package, any photos taken within 3 days from the date Memory Maker is purchased will not be included and must be purchased separately."

you may want to double check this before waiting to purchase as I would be worried not all the pictures would be included.

I may be interpreting this incorrectly, but it is definitely something I would check out before adding it after I was already on site and having pictures taken.

I may have this wrong (I have only been to The World once last August) but I think the following may be true:

Anyone can have a photo card that photos can be assigned to. After your trip you can link them together, view pictures and then order the CD/prints etc.

The Magic package includes ride photos (and photos at the entrance to some dining locations) so if you want these you need to get the package or buy them separately - we love ride photos so this was a major plus for us! We also got a cd full of stock photos which was a nice extra - not sure if they still add that. We also got "magic" shots.

The magic package is more expensive if purchased when there. I am about confused about the three day as I think you can still have the normal card and link these later but maybe you don't get the ride photos? We ordered it in advance last year, but it was called photopass+.
For us we loved having it - we got so many fab shots - the photographers took pictures of character interactions and not just the posed shot.

I think my only negative towards the new Magic package is that it is linked to the band and so photographers won't know by looking who has it - we had lots who saw our card on our lanyard thing and offered/called us over for pics. It is a plus however not having to worry about losing another thing though!

I hope this info is correct and not confusing!

:)

Ooops sorry I kept calling it magic package rather than memory maker!

You only get access to the pics on the download, but I believe you can buy a CD separate...don't know the details of that though.

The three days thing is if you purchase at advance prices. If you purchase at end/middle of trip, no pics are excluded; you just pay more. Rude and dining photos are part of the new memory maker.
