This is a long story sorry - I've been having all the kid's presents that I ordered online delivered to my mother's house so the kids wouldn't know that anything was coming. My mom would call me and leave a message saying I'd had a delivery and that was it, she didn't open them as she just handed them off to my dad to put in the basement until such time as I came to wrap the presents. I discovered today when I went to wrap the presents that among the many packages that I had sent a package of DVDs didn't arrive, but the email from UPS with the tracking number says it was left at my mother's front steps (10 feet off the road) 2 weeks ago :headache:. My mom and dad work from home (they have a farm) and there is always someone there and the other order that was also left on the front steps that same day was in the pile. When I check the Amazon site and click the link that says package not delivered it just says to contact UPS and gives a link which just takes me to the tracking site which just says the package was delivered - yeah, I know that :sad2:. I know I may be out of luck as I waited so long to figure out the package was missing but I'd love a number to call their customer service, but I just can't find one on the website. Does anyone know where I can find one?

On their contact us page, last I knew, there is an option to have them call you. I used it once and they called me immediately.

they also have this number

1-866-216-1072

it may just be an automated attendant but worth a shot

Immediately is right! I finished typing my number and they were calling. My parents sent us presents and some arrived and the others are missing. They were shipped via FedEx to US post office. They were very helpful, reshipping 2 express on some items and just refunded ALL the money on the other(shipped from another vendor.) I was super impressed.

I sat at home all day waiting for a fedex delivery, well finally @ 7 this evening I called fedex because I saw where they say it was delivered at 11.11am well I was home and my dogs would have gone crazy. I gave fedex an earful I let them know I waited all day and I never even got the sticker on my door. They left it at the managers office. Which I am surprised she signed due to some one taking one of my packages a while back and she had to pay because she accepted responsibility. I dont like how the new mail system is working out.

Thanks guys. I'll have to search for the contact us number. I've tried going thru the my account page and a few other ways and couldn't find a number just links but then the site is just so big I kind of got overwhelmed.

If you look on the right hand side of the page, there is a yellow "contact us" button. You'll have to log into your account, but they'll give you the option to have them call you or to email them.

We had a package show up as "delivered" but it wasn't on our doorstep. We assumed someone had stolen it but we called Amazon and they replaced the order for free. We actually thought it was hilarious because the order was for a 32 oz bottle of wild salmon oil supplement for dogs. :rotfl: We could just imagine someone stealing it and the look on their face when they opened the box. Anyway, the new order arrived a few days later. Two months later, UPS showed up with a box with a bottle of salmon oil - DH assumed he had ordered on "subscribe and save" but when he checked it, it was only a one time order. It turns out our order had finally gotten to us, two months late, despite having been marked as "delivered". We called Amazon to see what they wanted done and they told us just to keep the salmon oil for our trouble. :lmao:

I'm so glad to hear that they were reasonable about replacing the items. I ordered Prince of Persia and Die Hard as lightining deals and the total cost was just over $12 so there's no way I can replace them at a B&M or even Amazon before christmas for the same price.

Google Amazon custer service phone numbers.

They are two numbers posted.

People are staffed there 24 hours a day. If you call later in the United States, you may get an "offshore" call center. If you call during normal business hours, you will get something.

Amazon has the BEST customer service. That's one of those things that goes back to a company's core values on customer service. Amazon trains their people and treats them well and hires the job as a white collar job. (I might know someone who works at one of their Customer Service Centers. . .) Amazon also understands that their service operates by mail and that sometimes packages do get lost, and I think they would rather ship something twice and keep your business long term than not reship and lose your business forever. In the 16 years of so I've been using Amazon, I've had lost packages twice, and in both cases Amazon fixed things immediately.

It's been a smart business decision for Amazon to treat their employees and customers well!

This is why I love AMAZON! I have done ALL my Christmas shopping on Amazon except a few clothes from the Disney Store.

It'd be just as quick if not quicker to just email them. I had the same issue as you, collecting stuff and setting it aside then realizing it wasn't there. The package said delivered on the tracking. Sent the email, went and did something, came back and had an email saying they were sending a new one. Got it two days later. Their CS is practically instantaneous. :thumbsup2

I've emailed them and they responded within an hour. They are normally lightning fast even when you email them.

Thank you all for your help. So I went online and found both the email and phone number for contacting Customer Service. Since these are santa gifts and youngest DS is home with me while DH and the other boys are camping I couldn't get away to make the phone call without him (he still believes in Santa) around I sent the e-mail. I got a response back within an hour as you mentioned and they're sending replacements. The bummer - both items are out of stock and won't be replaced until after Christmas :sad1:. I think I'm going to run out to Target and buy them then return them after Christmas with the Amazon versions. I do this hopeing and praying that they'll have the same ISBN numbers as the difference in cost is about $40 :scared1: (like I said Lightning deals vs Target regular price of $34.99 and $20)

^^ Target has their own code embedded in the Bar Code on DVD's... after scanning ... they will tell you that the DVD was not a Target purchased DVD ... this use to prolly not be the case ... but ... ask me how I know ... :rolleyes1

URGH! Possibly I could delay the kids from opening the movies until a little bit after Christmas, but no guarantees and I don't want to get stuck with two copies of a DVD.

Hmmm.....Does Best Buy or Borders do this? Cause I can run to those stores almost as easily as Target.

I ordered a DVD from BN online and it didn't arrive. I looked at the email and it said shipping date of Dec 21! Since I ordered it on Black Friday I thought that was terrible. So I went to BN and bought it at full price. I gave that as a give but saved the stickers and receipt. Today, I brought the online back to BN and they took it back but I could tell the cashier was hesitant. So maybe the codes are different? :confused3
