Is there a NEW version of Pal Mickey coming out?

I'm not sure where I got the impression a new version was coming out. Has anyone else heard something like this? I think I've decided to get one but I'm not sure if I should buy one ahead of time or not. Disney Store doesn't have them but I wouldn't mind getting one off ebay to use as Nov gift idea ....... but I don't want an old version if they are making improvements. Any advice? Anyone know the current price of buying them in the parks? Thanks.

OK, maybe I dreamed something about a new PM coming out. Is the cost still $56 + tax at the parks? Thanks.

I thought he was updated through software at the parks, not a physical change to the doll.

I read they're changing the doll itself, so it can have more interactivity in the parks. Supposed to come out next spring, I think?

It's almost enough to make me wait to buy one... but I think I want one this year, and then when the new one comes out, I'll donate my old one to a charity.

The ones that are out now will "update" their info once you are back in the parks. I asked about it before I bought him. I guess they can change the parades scedules and special events and have Mickey download them.

It really is a pretty neat thing. The girls loved to hear him talk!

Pal Mickey is an interactive stuffed Mickey that clips onto your belt. As you walk through any of the parks, he passes sensors or something that tell him where you are and he gives you interesting facts. I can't describe it real well. Check this link:
