Is there a more recent BBB thread?

What is your preferred order of events for doing BBB in MK? I was thinking BBB in the morning, then some princess meet and greets, then lunch at CRT. Do your girls like doing rides all dressed up?

We usually try for an early morning appointment - that way they're not too busy and we get into MK before opening for some wonderful photos. Last year we did a mid-afternoon appt. and It was much busier and my DD was cranky by then.

Has anyone seen the Frozen dresses lately or are they still sold out? I can't believe they wouldn't capitalize on the wild popularity of this movie and keep offering the package. Can I order the dress only from the boutique or can you only buy it in the package?

We always did first appt of the day in the MK. It was a great extra benefit to get early park entry. Even though their hair wasn't done yet, we styled it in the room a bit so we could get photos on an empty Main Street in costume before heading into BBB.

We loved following that up with late breakfast or early lunch. That really encourages them to leave the costumes on a bit longer than if you just ran straight from BBB to CRT right away.

Some of my favorite photos were out doing rides after BBB.

Are the same dresses at BBB available at some of the regular stores on Disney property?

My oldest will be a week shy of 3 on our next trip so we aren't doing BBB, but I'd like to see what the park dresses are and see if we like any. (She has an Elsa dress and will have the Ariel mermaid dress both from the Disney, but I'd like to get her one at the actual parks for a birthday gift).

Im a BBB newbie and could use a lot of help. Would love to see some of the current hairstyles. Do they give them tiaras when doing their hair or are they just available for purchase? Im not planning on doing the costume package...just hair, makeup and nails.....should I just put her in a dress?

Also, could use some advise. No ressies were available for our park days, so I scheduled BBB at DTD for our arrival day/early afternoon. I hate to have DD all made up, go to dinner and then bed....any other ideas, since we wont be visiting the parks that day. Im considering bowling at Splitsville, but would love some other ideas :)

I am so regretting our late appointment, almost 5pm, then a rush to a 7pm dinner at Park Fare.

We go this Thursday. I was told I could try getting to the park early and see if they could squeeze me in...has that ever worked for anyone?

Thanks!

Yes, there are a number of stores that sell the dresses - all the dresses sold in the park are the same from store to store. The main street store usually has some (not always everything). Your best best in MK is the store right across from the BBB called Castle Couture - they usually have all the favorites.

DTD usually has a very large selection right outside the BBB entrance. I have also found that this is the best place for accessories and shoe selection as well.

I am going next week (2/19) and will post new pictures of the hairstyles and brochure.

When we went last October, we did a late morning DTD BBB apt, and then did some resort hopping on the monorail. It was fun. The cast members always make a big deal of the "princesses" which the girls loved. You could do something similar and end at the Grand Floridian with 1900 Park Fare, which was my favorite character interactions:

I will check on A&E merchandise at BBB when I am there. I do not believe you can order from them without doing the package.

Thank you!!

I bet the styles for some princesses are different from what anyone saw a year ago. As the gowns the princesses wear in the parks have changed, they have released updated versions of the children's dresses. I know at DLR in December we saw the new parks version of Ariel's green gown, made to match her new gown in the parks. It was really quite pretty. There were also new Cinderella, Belle and Aurora gowns released as their gowns in the parks changed. If Snow White hasn't changed over yet, she will soon.

I am pretty sure easy wdw posted new Snow White dresses not that long ago.

My DD picked out the Anna dress for her BBB experience. She had a Belle hair style. She loved every minute of it.

We booked her the full package. We went around 4 pm, after they were done she went for her photo shoot which she totally ate up. She is a total diva!

The she had dinner at Cinderella's Palace :)

I would love to see pictures of the tutus and hairstyles as well! Enjoy your trip and thanks in advance for sharing the pictures.
