Is there a late checkout for DVC?

Does DVC offer late checkout for members? If so, is there a fee or a certain number of points? Our flight will be later in the day, say 8opm. Is this possible? thanks

when checking in you can request a late check, if available, meaning if the resort is not sold out. and i beleive late check is the very lasted 1pm. we just did a late noon check out at the poly
and that was the sun. after easter.

The DVC Resorts do not offer a late check out option - at least those on site do not.

I'm sure this is due to the longer period of time it takes to clean a villa compared to a hotel room.

we have had a late check out at the vwl and the bcv, again meaning noon, 1pm was the lasted, maybe we were lucky or it depends on the cm

<font face="times" size="+0">I have been told that there is no such thing as late check-out when you're staying in a DVC unit. The 1pm thing is supposed to only be for the regular hotel rooms.

Then again, after BWV's front desk told me that the first time I stayed there, I never bothered to ask again. So it's possible that it depends on the CM you talk to. If they don't know enough about DVC, they might grant it.

BTW I also think that the best time to ask for late check-out is the day before you check-out (vs. at check-in... it's usually too far in advance for the resort to know). </font>

A week or so ago, Maistre Gracey reported that late check out was available at the VWL. Here is the thread that contains it and some discussion of it.

You can also check out at the normal time and ask the bell desk to hold your luggage while you and your family go play. Have them bring it back out when it's time to return to the airport in the evening.

Will you be renting a car? We usually check out by 11 and keep our luggage in the trunk while we go play the rest of the day.
