Now that they don't take the entertainment rate not sure what to do!

We really need the zero depth entry pool and breakfast and I love the idea of 2 tv's and a different sleeping area for the kids...

thanks any ideas would be great:D

HIFS hasn't changed, just the availability of some discounts.

Since you like the hotel why don't you call and see what discounts you can get (AAA, AARP....) You might even call the actual hotel and ask them what's the best discount currently available. Joke around and ask them if they're going to make you empty out your wallet and try everything?

There are plenty of suite type hotels with free breakfast BUT not sure how many have zero entry pool.

HIFS has the package that includes $50.00 of "in house money" per night to use in the onsite dining options. The rate listed on the hotel website is $149.00 per night. This would only make the cost be $99.00 per night after dining money. The entertainment rate was $ 86.00 per night and you didn't receive the dining money. You can make a reservation and then watch for specials that come out closer to your trip. During the fall last year, Holiday Inns had a Buy One- Get One deal and that may come out again. I would make a reservation for the dates that I want and check back on the rate.

You might look into the Country Inn and Suites at Calypso Cay. There is a decent breakfast buffet. Not hot food, but waffles and such. They have a zero depth entry pool and small waterslide, putt-putt. The kids suite did not have two actual rooms, but they were partioned off and they have two tvs, microwave and refridgerator. Not a luxury hotel, but we certainly enjoyed our stay there. There is also an Amerisuites there that shares the same facilities.

Not sure when you're going, but on the site, after you type in AAA in the discount box and it gives you the rate, hit the button that says "show all available accomodations". I'm getting a themed bunk bed kidsuite for $94.90 per night, with AAA discount and 21 day advanced booking discount. Hope this helps!

When did HIFS stop taking the ent rate? We just stayed there this 6/29 & 6/30 using an ent rate of $99/night. I LOVE this resort!!

The entertainment rate is likely available some nights and not others depending on the percentage of unsold rooms during those dates.
