A woman my DH knows told him she's flying to FL to attend an anniversary party inside the castle. Can this be correct?

Maybe she is going to the restaurant. I haven't heard of any function room in the Castle.

For the right amount of money Disney will set up almost any area insside a park for a convention/reception/you get the idea. Theyhave use by CRT and the tunnel through the castle to host these events before. They have even set up the wizard of oz scene in TGMR for a wedding reception before.

I don't know of any other room besides the restuarant and what someone else had stated about the breezeway through the castle. There was a room used for telephone operators but now I understand its used for Tink and Cinderella to get ready.

Probably doing the party at the restaurant. My folks just went to a 50th anniversary party at the GF during the character dinner. Was a very nice anniversary party within the confines of the existing dinner.

Actually most events done at the castle are done in the tunnel that cuts through the castle. It can be set up very nicely.

I know that as far as weddings are concerned, the event must take place after park hours and the minimum is $52,000! It most likely will be at CRT, although it may also be in front of the castle outside too (hey, you never know and it has been done for weddings). I know for the current celebrations no weddings are taking place in the MK, so your friend is very lucky to be attending a private event at the MK! I hope she comes back with lots of stories and pictures for you!

W were there about 10 years ago when a wedding took place in the Rose Garden. The wedding party then went on the stage where chairs had been set up for them to watch the evening parade (I think it was Electric Light Parade). They had reception at CRT and the Bride and groom even came out back on the balcony to wave to wedding guests. The area under the castle and the carousel had been fenced in for the party. Can't even begin to guess what that all must have cost. (Including the Cinderella carriage with tiny white horses for the bride, fire truck and double decker bus to transport guests down main street to Rose Garden. Groom arrived on horseback)
