Hello All,
So I'm second guessing my ESPN club or 'Ohana choice. Here are the restaurants that I currently have ADR's for/plan to eat at & I have an opening for Dinner. I don't know where to go. I like simple food nothing too out there. If anyone has any suggestion please feel free to let me know. Also any bad experiences at the places I will list. Thanks!

Be Our Guest-Dinner
Maya Grill-Dinner
The Wave-Breakfast
The cabana at Swan & Dolphin-Lunch
Grand Floridian Cafe -Breakfast
Captain's Grill -Breakfast
Via Napoli -Dinner
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater - Dinner
Coral Reef- Dinner

My family really enjoyed 50s Prime Time Cafe in HS. Kids liked the Sci Fi dinner, if you are looking for a character buffet, the Grand Floridian Cinderella has pretty good food with all the characters.
Le Cellier is our favorite, but 2 dining credits/signature dining.
There are so many great dining options at WDW. It's fun to try new places. Have a great time!

Also could it be not in park. Sorry to have not added this. It's for our first day when we don't have park passes.

Of the ones on your list DH and I have eaten at 3.

BOG Dinner:thumbsup2 was fabulous. Definitely a must do at least once thing.

Via Napoli was alright. There is a definite white wine flavor to the sauce and neither DH or I are big wine drinkers so we didn't really care for it. We both agreed we've had better at home but its good.

SCI FI Dine in was a HORRIBLE experience!!!!!!!! Checked in 15 minutes ahead of our reservation and didn't get seated till over an hour after our reservation!! We sat there waiting as many families who had checked in a good 30 minutes after we did were seated much sooner then we were. service was slow and the food tasted mediocre and then made us sick afterwards! I know there are some that just love this place, but it is really nothing special and DH and I wished we had saved time and money and gone with the cheaper quick service burgers.

Ohana:thumbsup2 was out of this world amazing! But then, DH was born and raised in Hawaii so it was a well missed taste of home for him and I have never met a pot sticker I didn't like. If you do plan on eating here, I highly recommend walking down to the beach to watch the boat parade and the fireworks afterwards. Its amazing!

hope I've been helpful

Olivia's @ OKW
Kona Cafe @ poly
Anything in DTD, except Planet Hollywood (gross)
29 trips to Disney World and counting...next stop POFQ March 2014:joker:

Thanks! So 'Ohana is good for couples without children? I'm going with my boyfriend so I don't want to go anywhere that is overly children friendly if that makes sense?

I was worried about the same thing. (DH and I just did an Anniversary Trip. See Trip Report link in my signature)

It's not overly kid like in there at all. Very adult friendly! There are kids there but we went about 8ish and there definitely weren't masses of them swarming everywhere (which is what I assume you are worried about)

It was our favorite meal of the trip and a definite repeat.

Thanks! Will defiantly check out the trip report, since this will be a child free trip.

O'Hana is great for couples, I think! Kona is also good, but O'Hana is more fun. Kouzzina on the Boardwalk is fun if you like greek food - and it's fun to walk around the Boardwalk afterward. Raglan Road in DTD.

Via Napoli is hands down my favorite EPCOT restaurant. Sci FI is great for atmosphere the food is just okay. Nothing special but we always still find ourselves there because its so different. For your arrival night I would recommend Raglan Road at DTD. It is my favorite non signature restaurant at Disney. Plus, they have live music, great drinks, and irish step dancers at night. It's where we always kick off our disney trips. O'hana is another one that I find just okay. It's not bad, but for us is not really great either. I have done breakfast once at the Grand Floridian and it was pretty good, but Kona comes in slightly ahead for me. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a wonderful trip! pixiedust:

Sci-Fi is a very neat atmosphere and for the type of dining it is, the food is good there. Awesome burgers, desserts, etc.

Don't wait a review of waiting for a table, change your mind. Depending on party size, the wait is longer. The seating is 2 by 2, so if you have three or five and are whining about having someone seating 'alone', waiting for the tables instead of the 2x2's, will be longer past your reservation time because they can't force people out of the fewer seats.

I like it there, one of the best places for a different atmosphere/fun environment.

I would also recommend Raglan Road in DTD. We love it there. It has one of the broadest menus in WDW. The band and dancers are great too. It can be very loud though.
If this is travel day, be sure to leave plenty of time for unexpected delays.
Have Fun

My wife and I have done three adults only trips to Disney World. We always liked Spoodles, and are looking forward to it as Kouzzina. For a very nice lunch or dinner, Le Cellier is always worthwhile. I like the Cape May for fish at the Beach Club--mainly because of the buffet--and if you want to be alittle adventurous, try Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Since it is a buffet, you can take small portions of anything you aren't sure about. The pickled watermelon rind salad is one of my favorite things in the whole World.
Have a great Trip!

I disagree with O'Hana. We went as a couple and we were NOT impressed. On top of that the Hula dancer/singer was so loud it was almost deafening and the "coconut broom race" was out of control... and that is coming from someone with FIVE children. LOL! Children obviously do not bother me much!

We MUCH preferred Kona. It was nice, much quieter and quite honestly our favorite meal on property that trip!

For just adults, a later ADR at 'Ohana can make all the difference. Fewer kids, less of the hula chick and no races! We love 'Ohana, it's a must-do on each trip.

Totally agree with bolded. I made a Sci-Fi ADR yesterday and cancelled it today for 50's. I just like the app menu better and that's usually what I like to order. Sci-Fi has ambience going for it, but the food is meh.
We're trying to figure out when to go to Raglan Rd, as that is a must.
We have a Via Napoli ADR on our last night, because the pizza is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I might add another depending on our time.

I've only eaten at ESPN Club once and it was fine, but nothing spectacular. DH loved his Reuben sandwich. We chose it because dss is a sports nut and he loved it of course. 'Ohana used to be a must-do for us but we had such a bad experience there Friday we will probably not book it on our next trip. Food was outstanding, service was horrible. We loved Raglan Road and Citrico's.

Since you won't have park passes yet, I'd recommend Olivia's at OKW. It's a must do for us every other trip.
It's laid back, rarely crowded, and has a menu varied enough to suit most tastes. After dinner you can take the boat to DtD and enjoy wandering around there before going home.
