Is there a difference between lunch and dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse?

I find it odd how for this restaurateur in particular it is so easy to come by multiple lunch time ADR's yet nearly nothing for dinner.

I currently have a dinner ADR but was hoping to move it by like 20 minutes later. I will continue to look since I know things open up and 20 minutes isn't too big of a deal so if I can't change it I can't.

In looking though it seems like I could easily have my pick of lunch ADR's.

with the way we schedule our days we like to hit HS for the first half and Epcot for the second half so lunch just isn't a good fit for us.

I just find it odd how so many lunch ADR's are available though and I'm trying to figure out a reason for it.

An y other restaurant I go to doesn't have that many openings for lunch if any at this point.

My guess is that because it’s a signature, people like to save it for a nicer evening meal. That, and folks are busier with rides and such during the day and tend to grab CS.

Quite a few eateries essentially serve the same menu for lunch and dinner. You can check that on their Disney pages. That's how you know there is no difference between the two experiences.

Also, I can tell you as well, as I have eaten both here and some others for both lunch and dinner and it was the same menu and same experience. Some eateries DO have a slightly different or more extensive menu at dinner but many don't. Again, it's easily checkable on the Disney site if you wanna check on a particular place.

As this place is known for their steak, I can see why most wanna save it for dinner instead of lunch, where people likely want somewhat lighter fare or a quick eatery style bite.

Nearly every restaurant at WDW now has the same menu at lunch and dinner. They made this switch a few years ago (I want to say 2015/16), I presume to lower operating costs and maximize profits by offering higher priced, "dinner style" options at lunch.

Their menu appears to be the same for lunch and dinner.
I would agree that being a 2TS dining experience, most people don't want to spend that at lunch.
Most want a quick meal, and back to the parks.
At night, many don't mind having a longer, more relaxed meal.

I would not suggest this place for a relaxed meal. First you’ll be sitting on top your neighbors and second the only thing they could’ve done to get me out faster was use a cattle prod. They delivered the entrée and appetizer within two minutes of each other and then showed up with the check and said “you don’t want dessert do you?” My water glass was empty and he never bothered to try to sell a refill on the wine. It was very evident that all they wanted to do was turn the table.

OCC, I have to agree! Our service at Le Cellier was lackluster at best.

Also, as much as we enjoyed the food at Jiko, the waitress ( who had been excellent thus far), did something a bit strange. My adult daughter had been trying to decide on a dessert and the waitress suggested a ‘special’ dessert that she “would love”. I’m thinking it’s some sort of chef’s special.

What does she bring out...a cup of pudding with gummy worms in it, lol
Didn’t quite rise to the standard of the rest of the meal.

The used to have a prix fixe menu for lunch w/ a burger and more casual food on it. Not sure if they still do.

We always love to end our trip having lunch at LeCellier. We book a late flight home so we will have a late lunch there and just walk back to the YC to catch the tragical express. It's a tradition now. And the menu is the same. I feel it's not as good as it once was. They don't seem to have specials anymore. I have had bison and venison there, but not since they went signature.

I've eaten there once and loved it (didn't love the close proximity of the seats) but I can see why dinner would be busier than lunch. I believe the menus are pretty much the same and I think most people do an expensive steak restaurant for dinner as opposed to lunch where people tend to eat lighter, cheaper meals. While at Epcot I normally eat a quick service lunch at one of the countries and then eat at a table service restaurant for dinner.
