Is there a best day of the week for DL & DCA?

We have a Monday, Tues., Thurs. & Friday scheduled for DL & DCA.

We also have the choice of a full Sat. or just half a day (at the most) on a Sunday. Are Saturdays so busy that we'd get as much done in our 1/2 day (afternoon & evening) on a Sunday as spending all day fighting Sat. crowds? If we go Sunday 6/8, DL closes at 10:00 PM and it would be the day we arrive after driving about 6 hrs. If we go Sat. it will be 6/15. The park is open till 11:00 but we have a 12 hr. drive ahead of us the next day to get home. Which would you do?

Any ideas on which parks are least crowded certain days of the week?

Thanks!

sundays have been historically the least crowded days and saturdays the most crowded. i try to avoid the parks on saturdays if i can--they are packed! lately everyday has been pretty busy but I would still vote for sunday 1/2 day over saturday!

i will be glad to give you advice on the parks if you like---just PM me

i practically live there!

I would agree with ilovemky, avoid Saturday if you can. We live in Northern California and drive to Disneyland (about 6 hours driving). We arrive on a Sunday afternoon (2-3 pm) and typically leave on Thursday or Friday (it's a Saturday this year for a long stay! :)). Having done Saturdays in the past, we like it this way much better.

The only problem with going to Disneyland on a Sunday afternoon is that most of the FastPass rides are quite booked at that time, even though Sundays are usually not too bad. But after a 6 hour drive, my 10 year-old wants to go to DL even if only for a few hours on that Sunday.

Thanks for the input! I just found out the Sunday that I am referring to is the end of Soap Opera weekend. Would you still pick Sunday over the following Sat. knowing this special event was going on?
