Hi,

I had called MS months ago to calculate out the 7 month window for our next trip. This will be the first time we are not staying at our 2 home resorts, and I am anxious about booking the day by day way. A CM told me to call Oct 8th today I called and was told to call back on the 19th. Is it exactly month to month...so Oct 19th is check-out on May 19th, I always have problems with this at the 11 month window too.

Thanks

It is exactly 7/11 months back from the check-out date.

As Chuck said, count back by months, not days. It's not like ADRs or other day-based reservation times.

If you want a slick way to know when to call for 11 month, 7 month or day by day (at either window) you can download Caskbill's great DVC Planner software at www.caskbill.com.

Just load in your vacation dates and resort and look at the vacation report for that trip. Fun for planning and playing with trip options. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you are making it more difficult than it actually is. For a May check out of the 19th, you would book October 19 for that one day. Then for May 20th check out you would book October 20 etc.

you said check out is may 19th, when is check-in? What ever day is check-in add 1 day then that is Oct. date to start day by day.

ex. - check -in May 12th (May 12th's check out is May 13th)
can call Oct. 13th to book May 12th.
can call Oct. 14th to book May 13th

Or you can just wait till Oct. 19th and book the whole week or so.

Additionally, If you go to DVCMember.com and log in to your account, there is a section that will tell you what you can make reservations for at that moment in time.

I just downloaded it about a month ago....it's a fabulous program and, you're right, a lot of fun, Granny!

Log on to DVCmember.com and click on Vacation Points (on the right side of the screen). Today it tells me:

  • Currently, you may request a reservation at your Home Resort for vacations that have a check-out date before September 12, 2008.
  • Currently, you may request a reservation at any Disney Vacation Club Resort for vacations that have a check-out date before May 12, 2008.

Another way to get to this page is click on "My Membership" at the top and view "Vacation Points".

Thanks for all the information. I never go onto the DVC page, my husband always does. Guess I should check it out.

:) Bonnie

Try Caskbill.com. Might be what you want.

I just downloaded the program and went through the tutorial. Now when I open the file it says run time error 13. Anyone else get this? What do I do to fix it?
