Does anyone know you can still get the dinner and show deal at MGM ?

thanks cmatt

Are you referring to the Fantasmic Dinner Package? Yes, it's still available, and well worth it if you prefer not to stand in line and plan on a sit down meal while you're enjoying MGM Studios.

you could eat at Brown Derby or Mama Melrose's

can you get it at the resort by calling, or do you have to get it at the resturants or at guest service at MGM ?

thanks Cmatt :D

I'm interested in this also. We're going to WDW for our 1st time next month and I'd like to get good seats for my kids. I've been told this is definately a not to miss show. The dinner package is the only way I've heard of without waiting for hours before. I read some guide books today that had some reviews from visitors. They weren't impressed with the seats they got from the package. Experiences anyone? Also, I'm wondering if one restaurant has better seats than another.

Any ideas would be great!

The Fantasmic dinner package seating is all the way on the right side. I have sat there and have sat right in the middle. The view is great from both places. There are three screens for the projections, so you don't miss anything by sitting on the right side. It was great not having to wait in line to get seats. We ate at the Brown Derby and entered the theater 30 minutes before the show. You can eat at Mamma Melrose, Brown Derby, and Hollywood and Vine. Your server will give you ticket to the entrance for the dinner package.

When we make PS reservations can we tell them then that we want the package?

has came out their are no bad seats any where , thats the truth.

didnt know about holly wood and vine but have ate at both places brown derby and mama melroses just depends what you hungry for,

its the best deal but they do go fast we went in 2001 when early entry was the name now its the extra magic hour, any way went straight to guest service at MGM and they were already sold out. said that people were calling them in from the resorts, that was not suppose to be able to happen

any way next day we got them, but had to change our schedule around a little

thanks cmatt

When you make PS - You MUST tell that that you are requesting the Fantasmic Dinner Package (FDP). Otherwise, they will not book it that way. (They have been releasing the FDP about a month in advance for the past several months)

We went 2 weeks ago tonight! (We were watching Mickey fight off the bad guys 14 days ago Exactly at this time!) We dined at Mama Melroses - and it is probably DW's new favorite restaurant! You could order any entree & it came with Salad, Appetizers & Dessert! It was a great meal. We got there about 45 minutes before showtime & sat about 1/2 way up in the Reserved Section. It was pretty nice.

We also went a few days later & arrived about an hour and half early - no FDP this time. We sat in the front row just off of center! It was great! (Except, if you sit in the first rows, you will be soaked from the water spraying you during the show!)

I think both ways are great - and Fantasmic is a MUST-Do attraction for all ages! If you have kids, it may be better to do the FDP b/c you don't have to be there so early, but otherwise, just get there early & stake your seat!

Thanks!

We are pretty sure we will eating at Mama Melrose for FDP. What time should we make our PS for? Any suggestions?

unless they have two 9 and 11

but they only have you meet 30 min. before we meet at Oscars rentals as you come into the park on the right then they take you up the back way into Fantasmic

so probably as long as you can head that way by 8:00 pm.

so what ever works with your schedule I would say no later than 6;45 to 7:00 pm

thats probably what will do thanks cmatt

Two Things to Remember about the Time

1. Stars & Motor Cars Parade is usually at 5:30 - So if you want to see it, plan accordingly

2. Mama Melroses is on the Opposite Side of the Park as Fantasmic - It's a good walk from one to the other!

I would probably suggest staking out a Seat for the Parade close to the Great Movie Ride & then making your PS about 6:00-6:15 or so (It's not a very long parade, but it's still kind of neat if you haven't seen it before!)
