Is the website accurate?

I was wondering how accurate the WDW website is, with respect to hotel reservations. I checked the availability for moderates during Thanksgiving & it said that as of now, only POR is available. We would be fine with this, but had our hearts set on CSR. Do you think we would have better luck calling Disney direct or calling AAA?

Thanks!:goodvibes

I would call and see what Disney says. And you can always book POR and keep trying for CSR. People cancel all the time (which reminds me I have to call and cancel our trip).

Sometimes the answer on the phone and the answer online are exactly the same.

Sometimes they ARE different. The room inventories aren't entirely the same and therefore, sometimes a call CAN pay off when the website says "no."

Good luck!

I just booked CSR for Thanksgiving last night. I just now went into the website and looked, plugging in different dates, and it comes up for me as available checking in anytime between 11/20 all the way to 12/7. (that's as far as I checked.)

Sometimes length of stay makes a difference. Try adding a couple days to either end of your stay to see if the availability changes. If it is available for a longer stay, book it and then call to cancel the nights that aren't needed.

I've been checking the Disneyworld site for CSR June 9 for 9 nights for the past 5 weeks now and only suites were available. Today AP rates came out and I called and got standard view for my dates. So, at least in my recent experience, the website was off...:confused3

I was thinking this might make a difference. We can only afford and take off of work from 11/25-11/29. I didn't know we could book and then cancel a few nights though-so this is ok to do?

If so, I will try this-thanks!

In my experience when the website said a specific resort or room category was sold out, it was also sold out when calling WDW.

I fiddled around with some stuff & got it-thanks!!! :goodvibes I think I just wasn't using the new options of the website correctly.

Also, I have frequently found that even when Disney is sold out at a particular resort, I can find a room for a client through a third-party travel packager such as Funjet, GoGo or USAirways Vacations, etc. It is worthwhile to check that out as well.
