Remember the song from the 1970's, Up Up and Away? I swear it was from a ride in Disney, Possibly in the Dreamflight ride? We went there many many times in the 70's and 80's and I swear I just remember it from Disney World! Maybe not, but I just youtubed it and it makes me think of Dreamflight!

I think the 5th Dimension sang that. I loved that song back in the day! I don't think it was ever part of a Disney ride.

Having said that, I don't recall what the music was like for the Dreamflight ride.

Nope...not Disney.

If You Had Wings (pre-Dreamflight) had a song of the same name, as did Dreamflight.

You're not the only one that remembers this. For some reason I remember this song from Epcot to but I have no idea from what????? Bugs me every time I hear it! Plus they just played it on DisRadio so it has something to do with Disney. This is what it says when it was played : Various Artists - Up, Up, and Away [3:08] - Best Of Friends - Mickey Magic

5th Dimension...mid to late 60's. This is just a faded thought, but it seems like I remember that song being used for a pre-opening, or at opening promotion film of Epcot. Not a Disney tune, but upbeat and popular.

I think it's about LSD though. I could be completely wrong about that.:hippie::flower3:

It's not directly related to Disney, but I'll bet it had something to do with either Eastern Airlines or Delta(both of whom had a corporate relationship with WDW). The song, writen by Jimmy Webb, was a big hit in the late 60s and was very likely co-opted for commercial use by an airline. The song connected to the airline connected to Disney could certainly be confused with a direct connection to the Mouse.
