Is the resort coffee that bad?

Would that be only the deluxe resorts? I'm staying at the GF and would love to bring my own k cups!

I’m not sure if it’s only the deluxes - I ‘think’ I’ve seen them at other places like the one that just got a big redo (Pop?). But, the GF DOES have Keurigs in all rooms, so you’re in luck!

That must be fairly new at the GF. We stayed there after they refurbished the rooms and it was still the pod machines. Last year the BC still had the pods and AKL are still pods..

It was sometime in the last year. We had a Keurig in our room in April. We were in CL (SL to be exact) but there was recent discussion about this same topic on the GF thread and the reports were that they are in non-CL rooms too.

I've started flying with an Aeropress and just pregrind some beans sealed in a vacuum bag or two before I go. Most of hotel rooms have some sort of coffee maker that can run be without a bag/pod to get hot water. It may not be 193-195 degrees for optimal extraction but you can still get a good cup of coffee if you use a higher ratio of grounds to water.

Kind of blows my mind that Disney can have such good food options and fairly mediocre coffee. At least with the Aeropress I can caffeinate before leaving for the parks or have an early afternoon cup during breaks.

Yes, the coffee in the food courts really IS that terrible. So much so that I drink Tea instead of coffee while I'm at the Disney Resorts.

Must have a good cup of coffee as soon as my feet hit the floor so I just stocked up on Starbucks K Cups for my trip to GF!☕☕

I'm a tea drinker and the man is a coffee drinker. That's fine when we are home. When camping I just drink coffee with him because I haven't the mental or physical strength in the morning to be bothered.
Thenn he switched to decaf and I couldn't drink that stuff.
For us the solution was simple... Starbuck's instant-one style for him, another for me.

Ten years ago it was horrendous. I’m a coffee snob and Joffreys is pretty good. I don’t do pods so I can’t speak to that. I usually wake up and go to the lobby/quick service or the concierge if I’m staying there.
I drink my coffee black, and really, joffreys is fine.

GFVillas have Mr Coffee 10-12 cup coffee pots. Not Keurigs.

Anyone know of the BW villa's ?
Do they have Keurigs machines ?
DH loves the k-cup coffee, I like the tea and hot chocolate :)

I hope they do with the new decor.

No. BWV have Mr Coffee 10-12 cup coffee makers. If you are there on points, bring flat bottom basket style coffee filters and your own coffee. You'll only get maybe two prepackaged pouches of Joffrey's coffee every four days.

It depends on how discriminating your coffee tastes are. I am a bit of a coffee snob when it comes to the coffee I make at home, but when travelling I can tolerate a lower quality brew. The Keurig sounds like a good investment especially if you are particular about your coffee. We used to bring a 4-cup Cuisinart coffee maker with a metal carafe with us on vacation but now I just pack a stash of Starbucks Via packets with me any time we travel. Many hotels nowadays have free coffee available in the lobby so I will just get that, but on a few occasions, the Via packets have been real life (and money!) savers.

Ok so don't laugh at me, but I am considering buying a compact Keurig to bring with us to the AoA suite. They are $65 on Amazon, and the Green Mountain Hazelnut pods are what we drink at home, so I was thinking of packing the machine and ordering coffee pods and half and half with our grocery delivery from Green Grocer.

Is it the machine + Joffrey's bad? Or just the Joffrey's? I tried searching for pods that fit a Cuisinart and am kind of coming up empty, but may be looking in the wrong place.

We are coffee people, and DH especially needs it to be happy in the morning.

Thanks for any input!
I think it is the way they make the resort coffee. We like Joffrey's from the stand. We have thought about getting a keurig too. AKV, for the record, IMO has the best resort coffee
