We recently bought at BLT through Disney, and I asked my guide during the process if that was a legit claim. He advised that Fidelity does sell a lot of DVCs, and are endorsed by Disney, but in the same breath he cautioned me about stripped contracts!

The line in red is true, yes, they are the only reseller recommended by Disney. They used to be GMAC. I think they have paid a fee to Disney/DVC for that privilege.

It does NOT mean that they are in fact a more "legitimate" resale broker than any other.

We used The Timeshare Store (Jamie) they were awsome! We had no issues at all with them and would recommend them to anyone, and have several times. Shawn

I am the OP and just wanted to know if it was true and have no intention of using them. I also used the timeshare store when we bought our first contract in 2002 and would use them again when we add on.

Right..don't let that sway you on who to use. I used them when they were GMAC and had no problems, but many here have.
