I'm planning a trip to DL for August 2026. My DS 5 LOVES waterparks, so I'm thinking of taking him to Knott's Soak City before we go to DL. What's the closest hotel, and do you know if they offer a shuttle to the water park?

Hi Disneyland1084,
I was just at Yelp and looked at the Yelp page of The Knotts Hotel and what I read is that to get to Knott's Soak City it is a short walk from the hotel and Knotts Berry Farm. And as for your answer to your shuttle question The Knotts Hotel does offer a free shuttle to Disneyland so you should be happy. The hotel itself from what I read on Yelp has been renovated recently and looks nice now and here's something your son will love about this hotel. If you stay in the Snoopy themed rooms your son can get tucked into bed by Snoopy but i'm not sure if they still do this since the renovation according to Yelp
Have fun and hope this info helps you a lot

You're welcome and hope you and your son have a wonderful trip to Disneyland in 2026. When you are looking at hotels when you are booking a vacation always look at Yelp reviews first before deciding which hotel you plan to stay at and it will help you a lot

Yelp hasn't been good for a number of years (hiding negative reviews, saying places are open when they are not, etc.) so please don't recommend them. Either here on the DIS boards or Reddit are places to get accurate info as far as hotels, food and anything else.

Knott’s Hotel would be the best option. It’s adjacent to Knott’s, built in one of their parking lots. Soak City was built on a piece of their main parking lot, which is across the street from Knott’s.

From the hotel, you’d walk about 3 minutes toward the main entrance, and cross the street via an underground tunnel. There will sprocket directing traffic and tons of people out walking. Once you’ve crossed the street, you’d follow the landscapes walkway around the property toward the entrance of Soak City.

It’ll take you around 10 minutes to walk from the hotel into the park.
