Is the food really that good at LTT? I am a little worried now after reading many threads on it. We have a ressie during free dining and I hope we like it.
I don't think I really want to change our dinner, I feel like that may not be many other options left. I know that my three year old will love the characters. I mean, (its not all that frozen brand, I forget) food is it?

We were there this past March and we loved the whole experience. We weren't there for the food, the character interaction was top notch. Goofy was a show in himself! Since your question was is the food good? Well, it's basically standard mac n cheese, turkey, stuffing and salad. Buffet quality. Satisfying but definitely not gourmet. I would not return for this meal without the character dining. Hope this helps. Have a great time!

I think it's pretty good. :goodvibes Even my DM, who is pickier than I am, enjoys it and said she would go there again (and we have). The turkey is good as are the mashed potatoes and gravy. The beef and ham are also good. I like the green beans. We really enjoy the salad-love the dressing! The only dish we don't care for is the mac 'n cheese. Though others here love it. Maybe it's because I, and my DD8, were raised on mac 'n cheese made with Velveeta, fresh not from the box.

Also, the dessert is yummy!

Going during MNSHHP is a good time to go-there characters wear additions to the costumes to join in the festivities. And the CM wear HM clothes and are made up to look dead-pretty cool.

No, it's not all Stouffers frozen food. Rumor has it that the mac 'n cheese is but I don't know.

We went last year during MNSSHP and are going this year too.

Dizneydaz,
I love your pictures. Make we glad we are going back.

The food was really good..... The salad, those rolls (YUM), I liked the beef the best of the meats, gravy, mashed potatoes, desert.. Mac & cheese was okay - I really do think it is Stoffers as I think they are the sponsor of the resturant.

DH and I enjoyed our meal and the characters - not the long wait to be seated. Seating in the waiting area is at a premium.

We thought the food was great (except for the mac and cheese which I thougt was OK but not great). I wasn't expecting anything really great - I only went for the characters for the kids, so I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend it.

Our two cents -- food was very good overall -- the only things we didn't care for too much were the mac-n-cheese and the beef. The turkey was very well done, loved the salad and beans, and the stuffing, rolls, ham and dessert were also quite good.

As someone else said, I wouldn't pay what they charge if not for the character intervention, but really, it's a good meal. And the characters do interact -- we saw each one at least twice, they stopped and posed for pics, etc., and our server was simply fabulous. Have a great time!

this is the only meal DD (23) requests everytime. We love LTT:cool1:

If you really want to do LTT character dining, you need to do it this year. Disney is doing away with the characters at LTT starting in January 2009.

My family and I love LTT character dining. I think it is one of the best character dining restuarants in Disney. We will surely miss it!:sad1:

I have eaten both lunch and dinner and i have loved both. they have the best butter in the world!

You should go to see for yourslef...Especially since there is a rumor that the character meal is ending after the New Year...

The food is not fancy and not the best we have ever had...But it is good...And FYI, you can order chicken fingers if you have kids....They are not on the menu but they will bring them if you ask...And they are really good...Our kids love eating the chicken fingers and mac n cheese...We enjoy the salad, rolls, turkey and the fixings...The entire family loves the dessert...That is really good...The rest of the food won't wow you but it is good enough...The atmosphere is wonderful and the character interaction is excellent!

Go, go, go...You may decide you don't like it or do not want to go back...You may love it just like us....But you will not know until YOU try it for yourself ;)

In my opinion, the food is good but not great. I don't think the food by itself is worth what they charge for it, however, the characters make this meal worth it's price.

My mother and I both love the food at LTT and do a dinner there every trip, most of the time before a party. People often complain about the mac & cheese, but I see nothing wrong with it. I think all of the food tastes fresh and it's better than the Thanksgiving meal I have at home.
On a side note, the character interaction at LTT is really great. Every time I've been there the characters have come to our table two or three times.

Does anyone know if they can do a vegan meal? I've had lunch there in the past and they did a nice vegan meal for me, but this December we're going for dinner because my grandkids want to see the characters. I'm planning to call in advance about getting a vegan meal but wondered if anyone else had done this.

We really enjoyed it. I love their strawberry dressing on the salad....and the Turkey is good as well as the dressing. Really, I think we enjoyed everything about it LOL
