Is the Fantasia 2014 NYE buffet SOLD OUT?

I have been trying to get into the Fantasia 2014 NYE buffet at World Showplace (Epcot) and have had no luck, I called the Dining Line and was told that the buffet is fully booked for all times, I was surprised as I thought this was supposed to be an "overflow" dining at Epcot on NYE since the other restaurants are already booked. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Unfortunately it looks like it is currently sold out. I checked online on the dining reservations page (New Year's Eve Dinner at Epcot World Showcase) and didn't find anything for a party of 2 or 4 for the evening. Reservations for the Fantasia buffet opened in August so it's not surprising it is sold out. The best you can do is to keep checking online frequently to see if someone cancels and you happen to be online checking just as the cancellation re-enters the reservation system.

Thanks purple. I got a pleasant surprise and was able to land a late lunch/early dinner at San Angel Inn!
